I mean yeah, there is a lot of time wasted waiting for a combo to finish, the annoying thing is that the combos are bloody fun to execute.
The game flow gets pretty one sided too, the first who gains momentum is usually the one who wins. Probably owed to the lack of ridiculous comeback mechanics that we see these days.

Also, what is the deal with Yuzuriha, why is she still so good? I mean Merkava got hit, seeing as I don't see anyone playing him anymore.

It's boring to watch too, but I was talking about playing it. I played it like 3 times while in Japan and didn't enjoy it much. I don't like many FGs so my opinion might be a little bias, but there were never many people on any of the cabs anyway. BBCP was much more popular.

hSion actually has some really good left/right mixup just by jumping back and then airdashing after a 214A. Other than that, shoot more and stop dropping combos. Unless you drop combos on purpose. Because a good hSion can do that and somehow make it work.

GGs. Your hSion (so many of these lately) is decent enough, got a combo that you can reliably use and some pressure. The mixup you're using can be reacted to, though, which is why a lot of people tend to just jump back and airdash over the body for a much harder to read mixup. Been so long since someone tried using 6[C] gimmicks on me that I'd forgotten what the timing was.
And I am a stout believer that 6B is unblockable in any sort of delay.

>> No.10332822

>>10332788
I find it hard to believe you can, on reaction, block 6[C] mixup, unless you're really good at noticing timings as you can still walk back and still crossover.
There are other options that you can do, of course...

6B is definitely harder online, but I hardly find it to be unblockable. You need to pay more attention to range and the normals used up. Makes it a ton easier to anticipate, at least for me.

>> No.10332877

>>10332788
I do actually prefer another version of her which-way - where you IAD and use jC to place the landing - it's just much easier to rely on 6[C] online. I haven't compared it to the one you've described to be honest though, thank you for the tip.

>>10332822
I think if you play H-Sion she seems easier to block, but you only get ~25 frames to block 6B on reaction depending on your delay. That may seem like just enough, but you need to be able to catch how it's telegraphed in the first few frames or it's right on the border of unreasonable. Even competitive players get caught by it offline.

>> No.10333128

>>10332877
Not that guy but I find 6b to be fairly easy to block (even on d6) if I'm focusing. It gets me if I have an attention lapse or if it's used unusually.

>> No.10333299

>>10332822
I use the timing of mixups to see what it's going to end up as usually. 6[C], unless timed perfectly, has pretty distinct changes in side/overhead. Usually the hSion person is choosing the timings, so they generally use one they're familiar with; makes it easier for me to see.
If I'm at the top of my game I can block 6B in delay some of the time, but I can't find it in me lately to concentrate that much on it. 0 delay 6B isn't so hard though.

>>10332877
That IAD one may be the one I'm talking about, but pretty much the same concept either way. There's also a neat one that ends with 214B 5BC 2BC (delay) IAD. Depending on your move timings and the timing of the IAD after 2C, it'll be different sides.

there is just too much air movement in this game for me to properly zone or try to anti air, and it felt like every time i was trying to press buttons with her they would just get counter hit, which led to me getting frustrated and mashing buttons at stupid times.

Every single time I see this thread, the only thing I can think of is Alma Elma and her melty hand.
That is all I wanted to say.
Sorry for misusing spoilers too

The lag there might have been on my end, probably should check for people streaming stuff before I start to play next time. GG anyway?

I was looking forward to Akiha pseudo-mirrors to be honest, I don't really mind playing a few matches to see if it improves.

Good game, it might just be my internet tonight. Do you netplay often? I didn't recognize you. Playing C-Kouma seriously online wouldn't be my idea of a good time in all but the best delay.

>> No.10341731

>>10341727
I come on sometimes, I used to play alot of Melty Blood starting back in ReACT, The delay isnt bad its just the actual random frame drops in the gameplay that ruin it for me.

GGs, we desynced at the end there. I think with a few more reliable combos and some gimmicks/mixups in there, you would be on your way.

Yeah GGs

>>10345468
Yeah I would have done better but my controller's diagonal buttons are broken so I can only use the analog stick which is why I was messing up everything and GGs.
