Just how evil is she in reality?

>> No.10234247

Not so evil.

>> No.10234249

There are no evil Touhous.

>> No.10234256

Evil is a society thing and youkai aren't a part of human society. Ghosts aren't youkai they're dead humans shut up.

She can eat whoever she wants as long as they aren't human.

>> No.10234286

So why exactly do you think she's "evil"?

Other than bullying Youmu most of the time, that is.

She's kind and loving!

>> No.10234305

>>10234286
Her trying to kill Mokou the moment she met her is a contributing factor.

>> No.10234308

She's a playful spirit who loves to joke around and have fun and eat delicious meals. Since she's a ghost, she has no "earthly impurities" according to SSiB. A large amount of her dialogue in IN was just joking around and food humor. It's most likely very difficult to get on her bad side.

She tried to poison Eirin because she wanted her as a Doctor in ther afterlife or something.

I'd say she hides behind a facade of loveable stupidity.

>> No.10234320

>>10234305
She just recognized her power would be useless against Mokou, she didn't actually have to use it. Fuck, it would make absolutely no sense in context given the situation and her personality if she actually tried to do that.

(The more compelling reason would be the fact she tried to poison Eirin, but she knew she was immortal at this point too. It was kinda fucked up but it was only a joke after all)

She knew Eirin was immortal, so the tea was her idea of a joke.

I'd say eating sentient beings is pretty evil.

End her kind is evil by nature.

I think it was because Youmu was affected by Udonge's eyes or something. That's at least what the dialogue implies (That or she stared at the moon too long.)

In Touhou yuurei are evil.

>> No.10234395

>>10234367
Youmu being fucked up was from the moon.

...or maybe she just snapped, it's Youmu after all, she's not exactly the most stable touhou.

Anyway, Yuyuko summoned Eirin to fix the eyes, but she said she wanted to keep her because she's "convenient".

It was all her playing around anyway, that much should be obvious to anyone who paid attention to her other appearances.

>In Touhou yuurei are evil.
[citation needed]

Also, Yuyuko isn't even a yuurei, she's a bourei, that's a different thing in touhou.

And the evil ones are vengeful spirits/onryou which are yet another different kind.

>> No.10234452

Shikieki found admirable that she was unwilling to become vengeful against Humanity after everything she went through, thus why she was granted a (ghostly) body, and she now rules over the land of the dead meant for those men and women who did their best.

If the Yamaxanadu says she is alright, I think that means she is a'ight.

1. Yuyuko wanted to revive herself and unseal the evil tree. Even though she didn't know it, she's still evil because she could just ask Yukari about it before doing. Terrorist.
2. Yuyuko commands Youmu to slash anyone. Manslaughter.
3. Yuyuko wanted to kill Eirin. Murder.
4. Yuyuko stole Gensokyo's Spring. Robbery.

I thought there were some nice portraits in Imperishable Night, but Yuyuko wasn't one of them.

Anyways, Yuyuko doesn't really place any objective value on "good" and "evil" and often just tries to mess with people.
