So I heard this was basically a Touhou board. In that case I'll ask you experts which character I should main, since I've never played Touhou in my life but want to know who to like and who to avoid.

My playstyle entails an almost entirely offensive-oriented design (Primary emphasis on shooting power, not bomb stock) with straight-forward, tightly concentrated shot. Laser beams are to be used as much as feasibly possible. Speed should also be very high, but it would be helpful if there was a way to slow down on command for weaving through dense bullet patterns. No homing, explosive, or search weapons are allowed. Penetrating power is nice, but not necessary. Energy priorities should be adapted as Thermal Energy > Kinetic Energy > Chemical Energy. Bombs should either be a giant laser or simply not exist altogether.

Examples of some of ships that match my playstyle well:

- Type A-Exy in DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou.
- Deltasword-Strong Style in DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu.
- F-22 Raptor in Strikers 1999.
- Carmine in Giga Wing.
- Robin in Giga Wing Generations.
- Lightning Wolf (Side Shot Power Up) in Battle Bakraid.
- Aryustailm in Blazing Star
- YF-222A Alpha Blade (C) in Change Air Blade

Basically, I'm looking for the 2hu who best fits the above archetype. Also willing to make this a shmups general if anyone's interested.

Marisa's illusion laser type or reimu's sealing needle type. The former penetrates enemies, the later does more damage the closer you are. they may, or may not, be in each individual game, as shottypes vary by game, but in most cases both are in.

Press Shift for focused movements and shots
