This is the Otaku Culture board, ex-Japan/General. Most of our imagedumps (from Touhou, im@s, Vocaloid, etc) are already posted on /c/. Threads dedicated to videogame 2D girls, unlike anime/manga girls in /a/, can't really be posted on /v/ (due to the board's movement and userbase), so the logical conclusion is to assume they should go on /c/. This doesn't mean the threads aren't fine on /jp/ too. iDOLM@STER is just that case. You'd set a dangerous precedent if you wanted to forbid these imagedumps from /jp/, since it would need to be applied to other threads.

However, do you have any examples of on-topic threads being deleted? Don't be shy - even if they're something fairly borderline like tea or Japanese penis festivals, it would be nice to have a few examples as a reference.

I'd also like to point Touhou isn't entitled to any thread regardless of its quality, specially seeing how the board wasn't supposed to be dominated by one subject, when it was conceived. I see. Anything Touhou is automatically a shitpost. /jp/ is certainly not a Touhou board, but don't forget that Touhou has nowhere else to go, unlike 2D random imagedumps. Touhou is all about cute images, fanwork and fanwank. And Touhou is entitled to at least have the same weight as a "which armor girl would you marry" thread for example, since it's the thread we are posting in.

The other 2 threads are borderline material and, again, have as much weight as random 2D dumps such as this one.

Exactly like Touhou isn't entitled to any thread, nothing makes 2D/Random content automatically /jp/ related.

Either the prop armor stage pieces which are non-functional and decorative movie equipment, or the armor that they represent in the fiction of the Star Wars universe.
