Because the fan base is really dedicated and will pay anything for merchandise.

I've spent about $1,000 into Horizon at this point.

The Volks' figure of Horizon is especially nice, and I know they are making one of Kimi. I'm hoping Koto's Tomo gets some work done soon, I would kill for a non-lewd figure of her.

i Was kinda pissed they announced the volks one 2 days after i dropped down the money for the wave one. Not that >>10055667 looks bad but the volks one just looks better.

Also looking forward to this one. I normally avoid beach queens but this one was too good to pass up.

I've mainly been buying the keychains and the novels, I own S1 on blu-ray and I'm waiting until I can get on my feet again financially before buying S2. Thanks for the link, that seems like it will be very useful in the long run.

She fell down the other day while I was cleaning (vibrations from the vacuum cleaner) and her stand got damaged; one of the pegs broke off while stuck most of the way inside her foot. I managed to glue it back in place, though, and while I had her down I very gently and slowly applied pressure to her legs and nudged her back into shape, and so far she's looking pretty much good as new again.

She's in my bookcase, which means I can always prop her up so her thrust-out elbow rests against the side of the shelf. It keeps her standing up AND she looks very chillaxed.

last thing I tried a tentative preorder on was a dakimakura they had changed the date on and then received an email about saying they could not fulfill my order due to a typo on the listing. Most everything else has been fine for tentative preorders. I got the smile precure bandai trading figures vendor set when it was on tentative preorder and it came in, did the same with some card sleeves and a few key chains.

Given that it's PVC, the best route is to use a two-tube epoxy (my favorite brand pictured).

Please be warned that this is not an adhesive; once the catalyst and polymer mix, they create chemical welds. You may want to practice getting an even, twin coat with non-important items before using this. Don't get any where it doesn't belong, or you'll be spending the next 20 mins sanding it off.

Hajime Ueda is the name of the guy who drew the ED character art; he's a former doujinka who went on to draw the FLCL manga and and his own series, Invader Girl Q-Ko-chan. His art is immediately recognizable - swirly eyes, hair that you could put an eye out on, everyone is skinny and very very angular. It's quite neat-looking and the prospect of it being committed to 3D figures is pretty exciting.

I finally got my Nue in the mail, and her wing had snapped off during shipment. Not only that, but there are five dents in the other set of wings that make it look like it wasn't sanded down enough before painting. I still love her, but I wish I didn't pay as much as I had.

The initial investment to start building GK's is pretty expensive.
Your gonna want a Dremel and a basic airbrush in any case. Than the smaller stuff like files, sandpaper, clamps and brushes is gonna add up.
And once you have that there are the chemicals like paint, glue's, thinners, cleaners, etc.
on the plus side, E2046 GK's are pretty cheap.

Its a fun hobby once you have the stuff you need though.
