I liked the show. It was a little on the darker side, but that's how detective stuff usually is. Grimdark? No not really, stop parroting that along with "forced drama" please.

I guess people expected her pulling off people's masks or solving the mystery of why her benefit check hasn't arrived.

I was thinking of going and reading the light novel someday, not sure how much of it is translated.

I believe PIs get licensed access to special government databases. You can look up their social security and find pretty much anything Uncle Sam has down on them.

Sounds a lot better than the usual PI work of sitting in a car with the windows up and climate control off for 8 hours staring at a door.
