I need a japanese mahjong set, /jp/. Which one should I get? Remember, I don't want to (read:can't) spend that much. I'm currently considering this set

I would, I can't find them anywhere. I'd also need an actual set as well.

You have people to play with?

I'm slightly jealous.

I'd play with him.

Don't get a black set. Since the hakus look the same on both sides, both sides get scratched up when you shuffle them. It makes them stand out a lot in the wall. A guy I used to play with had a set like that and we always had to use the flowers or red 5s as hakus.

I got the one by the same company with the white tiles and the yellow backs for $50. The tiles look nice enough and it comes with a case with hard plastic trays to organize the tiles and scoring sticks. The scoring sticks aren't colored as well as the tiles, there is some sloppy enamel on them, but whatever.

Of course I don't have anyone to play with. But when that day comes sometime I will not be as terrible at handling tiles and stacking the wall as I was when I first tried.
