I found wrapping an ona in a rolled towel makes it much more secure, but it's still prone to move around a bit. Pillows are a bit too bulky and are generally hard to secure because they're so malleable.
But if you're looking for a hands-free experience or even just something to grab onto, I bought a mini hip and found that to sate my desires without having to make as significant of a financial decision. Pros:
1. Much easier to clean. Don't need to fuck around with douches or haul the whole 50 lbs of pussy and ass to the bathroom to clean. Just pop out the insert oit and clean it like you would a normal onahole.
2. Variety. You're not stuck with the doll having a single tunnel. No risk of not fitting into it or simply getting bored. Just use another normal onahole of a suitable size. I had the mouth of truth stuck inside my doll a couple of times, it was rad.

Cons:

Let the oils set/absorb, which may take a while, possibly a few hours. Then oil the other half and let that sit too. Once everything is dry on the surface give it a good powdering. Do not powder while it's still oily because it'll just make a mess you'll need to clean and start over.

This isn't true. In fact, I'd say inserts are more fragile than built in -- not the insert itself, but the hole around the insert is going to be fragile and easily torn especially with how difficult it can be to get the insert seated inside it. And then you have a loose insert inside a gaping maw of a hole and you get absolutely no pleasure out of it.

Can't recommend inserts at all. Inserts are easy to fit in the cavity and if you're having trouble - just use a different insert or add a bit of lube. I never had a "loose insert in a gaping maw".
Cleaning the cavity is much easier than cleaning a fixed vag. The insert cavity is much larger and easily accessible, you can just use a wet wipe and reach inside with no risk of missing some cum in a far corner like with a fixed vag. Speaking of, this is another advantage of a removable vag - if you fuck up and let the insert develop mold you can just toss the insert and the doll itself is still perfectly usable. In my personal experience, both the cavity and the onahole are pliable and there is considerable leeway in the size of the insert. For the anon that had asked me about the time frame of the shortstack doll I ordered with the bimbo head. It arrived today, much faster than I thought. It took the exact 3 weeks that they said, and it arrived 6 days after I got factory pics. It was in customs for like 4 hours, which made things much smoother.
I put it side by side with my other doll. She's much shorter, but the soft TPE feels so much nicer than the other one's TPE. I gave her a wash, and then used her cowgirl. How do I deoderize a drying stick? I've been using the same one for a year or two now and it's started to smell like corn chips. I've tried everything I can think of. Lysol wipes. Onahole cleaner. Scalding hot water, dish soap, and a toothbrush. Left it in a bag of baking soda for a few days. Even sanded the outside with 400 grit sandpaper. It works fine but just smells like fritos. Doll photos are overmarketed, can't get accurate photos, don't know if you'll get the doll in that photo, is the price cheap for a reason, does the tpe stink and will it fall apart on me.

Same question can be asked for brand name products. There's always a risk. But really there isn't a comparison between a high quality doll and a cheap doll. The higher quality dolls don't need to hide behind costumes and filters. They just look good. The tech is better and there are a lot more options.

First impressions, comparing her to my previous dolls -- a Piper TPE, Sanhui silicone, and Aotume TPE.

No observed defects out of the box -- everything was intact. Her packaging was less extreme than all of my previous dolls, only had a little bit of extra packing around her, but it clearly did its job. They shipped her wearing a white one piece with fake booba stuffed in the one piece, which gave me a good laugh when I saw it. They're pretty low quality, but hey, free gag booba if you want it. They also shipped her with a free sample of TPE! This was a really nice addition, I really appreciate having an exact match to her TPE in the event I need to do repairs. Also came with a tangle-free wig comb, exactly the same as the one I already have and a nice comb, would save a new owner having to go buy one. Other freebies were the standard cheap douche and flower pattern dress that every doll seems to get. I think I actually have four of those dresses...

Her TPE is really nice. Very soft, almost Piper soft, and has the nicest smell I've encountered to date. Very pleasant and smooth. The 'natural' skin tone is a bit darker than I expected, she looks like she's maybe a bit mediterannean in complexion, or like she just got out of a hot shower. Still nice though. The super makeup is just as nice as it is in the pics.

The articulated hands are a complete sham, and a huge disappointment. They aren't articulated at all -- there's one joint at the hand plate, and the rest is literally a straight piece of metal. The joint feels like it's got a spring in it, which is odd, but really these aren't articulated at all and if I cared about photography primarily I'd be pissed and demanding a refund for that add-on because she can't grip literally anything. At least with wire fingers you can grasp things. Also not every finger can move side to side, and the thumb doesn't move at all, so you can't even comfortably interlock fingers with her. I honestly may still request a refund for that feature, it's very bad -- Aotume wins here handily (heh), as even on a loli Aotume the hands were incredibly high quality and also damn near indestructible -- I used to interlock fingers with her and pound her into the bed while putting most of my weight on her hands and she never showed any signs of damage.

Unexpected surprises are, her eyes are spring-loaded! I was expecting the cheap single piece eye with cotton behind it, but no, she's got the really nice high end spring loaded eyes that are super easy to move around, same as my Sanhui has. Also her big toe has a wire in it, which I didn't expect. She also has an adjustable jaw, which I didn't realize Catdoll did, and a molded in tongue. Also, her joints are surprisingly smooth -- I don't know if loose is the right term, they hold their position fine, but except for her knee joints they move easily. I chose 'tight joints' in the order form, and honestly anything less would've been pretty scary, every other doll I've received had tighter joints at first than her. Hopefully these don't loosen as badly as my prior dolls, would be nice if she could still stand a year in.

Her love holes are the best I've had in a doll. Extremely tight, very aesthetic even with her legs spread eagle, properly sealed (unlike my Aotume...), and exactly 6 inches deep which is perfect for me. I can just barely hit the end if I go all the way in, which I love, and aren't needlessly deep and therefore harder to clean. All in all a perfect ten on that regard.

All in all, I'm extremely happy with her. If you're interested in this kind of doll you'd be hard pressed to do better, and if you do like I did and abuse the weak yen, well... she's pretty cheap, too. Even with the super makeup and the (maybe not worth it) articulated hands she still only cost $1400 total.

It's working fairly well on the first trial with the cheap TPE doll (shortstack). It heats up quickly from the back and the sides, and while the reflective material on the non-heating areas were effective, there is a remarkable difference between exposure and proximity to the heating elements. I did a few cooks (one 2hr, one 3hr, one 30min) staying around 95F and then finishing with about 15min at 120F with a heating rod inserted. On the longer cooks, the doll was rotated each hour. Since the doll was a shortstack, I was able to bend it over and barely lean against the chair to maximize the heating.

Before this, I have used several dolls at room-temp and sometimes warmed up with a heating blanket, and this is a new level. As another anon phrased it, it was like more monkey wires were firing.
