Kiki is a friendly NPC that wants you to better yourself because she knows you're capable of better, and you'll be better off if you work on yourself. She even gives you motivation to do so.

Both are NPCs though.

Now if you want monsters that are never NPCs, that's bicorns, jabberwocks, and certain lamias.
