People use incorrect grammar in their own language all the time.
I've long stopped worrying about such edge cases.

The interace language is the first one in the list. Just keep Japanese as second and it'll be fine.

The problem is that the same character is displayed differently depending on whether it's Japanese or Chinese. By default android uses the Chinese version. If you add Japanese to that list it will use the Japanese version.

Just look at how 日本語冒険 looks differently for you and me.

Tae kim if fine even if it has It's flaws. It's still the best to get newbies started and ready for immersion (which is the most important thing). All of these "better" guides aren't actually better. They're either too long or they're too autistic.
It's fine to visit these autistic guides once you have some immersion and understanding of the language under your belt and clear up spme confusion you might have.

The problem with cure dolly is that's too autistic. Anyone who is new to the language won't get why she obsesses over some things so much. It will all go over their heads. It's also too long.

Tae kim provides a good middle gound. It's not too long, still covers the basics and is still better than your average textbook.

Cure dolly should be done after a few months of immersion.

I want to experiment with English -> Japanese sentence decks. Which downloadable deck lends itself better to Sentence Recall (aka Production) cards?

Basically the deck needs either no/low repeated English -> Japanese mappings, or context (like a picture of the scene the sentence came from). I ruled out the Glossika deck for example, as it had a lot of "Yes, I am" mapping to "はい、座っています” for example (and a lot of mistakes too).
I know what I want to do begs for personally mined sentences but I am autistic and can't decide on what to mine.
