Elin. Apparently praying no longer costs favour and will be a once a day thing. It can actually boost faith skill, which is better than the saint's blessing dream in Elona.

Depends on resists- I'm far from a Loss pro, but I'm familiar with Act 1 at least.

You need Fire resist for that one dungeon, but scale is easy to get with scrolls.
Obsidian will give chaos resist, if my memory is good.

After that, build to needs- remember poison stops regeneration, Sound damage might confuse/dim, and nerve paralyzes. Magic resist slightly gives you bonuses to other resists, if you're really unlucky on drops.

I've dozens of hours into the game but I still don't understand what benefit higher attributes have for specific spells. in particular when using support spells like 'Divine Wisdom' which increases LER and MAG. Does it increase the potency of spells used while buffed? Does it increase skill potential while active?

Also I've been wondering if someone figured out a viable way to make use of the ability to have pets ride you on Elona +. The japanese wiki contains a line that says something along the lines of "Since the PC is ill-suited for being ridden, the riding pet's speed is tripled for the sake of calculating total speed. I was thinking about doing a run as the vehicle race...

The exact mechanics are kind of obtuse. Some of it's in skill.hsp's *sRefDefine and calcskill(), some of it's in calculation.hsp's calcspellpower(), some of it might be elsewhere entirely. The only things I can say with reasonable certainty are that each spell is associated with a specific stat, and that boosting the associated stat will make a spell work better.

According to the wiki, offering your God their prefered item (fish for Ehekatl) gives 25 favor without respect to factors like value or quality. Also, you receive the first gift after 1525 favor, which would equal 61 such offerings. I'm pretty sure I offered more than 61 fish to Ehekatl. Especially considering I've used the 5x bonus from claiming new altars thrice as well. Is there any easy way to check favor? I'm on the latest Elona + Custom G

Expanding the area costs 10 gold bars and adds one extra tile in each direction (but it does not increase the max soil fertility, so it might make your farming worse/more annoying since there are more tiles for weeds and trees to spawn on now)

IF you can avoid fights early on. There are literally enemies everywhere you go and they spawn in your house too. Maybe you can successfully run away as a fairy, but otherwise they're just as fast as you or faster if literally anything slows you down. Plus if you're always running away you just can't actually accomplish anything that way.

It also feels like it's basically impossible to advance without fighting anything because there are exactly two kinds of quests to earn platinum. That successor business probably also happens when a god slayer PC kills a god. Though who knows if we will be able to actually do that in Elin. I'm sure it'll be quite a while before someone can actually test out if you can get your stats that high or not. Canonically, gods can die. Odina of love died protecting ylva, and her sister Eris died trying to revive her. Later on, she was reincarnated as Jure.

Yakasha of oblivion is also a reincarnation of a corrupted god.

Which is why the corrupted gods were sealed away instead of killed, because killing them just starts their respawn timer. Same thing with sealing Eyth in the void, it's a better way of keeping him tied up than killing him.

Speaking of fighting gods, you can already do that in one location, although the corrupted god bound there can't use all his power.

Looks like it, even if all the tools aren't in yet. Allies and disposable summons take the same slots. You get 1 per 15 charisma plus any from feats. You can go above the limit at the cost of a speed penalty.

Summon spells like elementals and undead little sisters increase strength of summons.

Riding and symbiosis skills are a thing. There's a summoner so for autocombat.

Other tools like gene engineering and a god dedicated to the playstyle are coming down the line.
