Obviously anyone who can do basic math will see the $75 is outrageous, not to mention having a vn that wasn't designed to by chopped up like that is just an inferior experience. Trust me i know i even agree 75$ is ridiculous overall and splitting this up is really retarded because it is full length even if it's lite plotge nukige as a whole. Also the 50-40$ is weird to me, unless it's a premium title like something from Nitro+, A Clockup work like Maggot Baits or Euphoria, or even Rance it makes total sense because it is zenith the best of the best those command the high price easily. But Kuroinu would be crazy at those prices. 25-35$ makes more sense like Shiravune has priced it. It's full length it has some nice extra's but it's not going to command a premium at all due to the lack of brand recognition. But i will say now that you mention it though that some of the VN's are kind of pricy and it makes me wonder if MG is a little bit in the hole on their financials or it's just them being greedy due to Rance and Evenicle being high sellers and think that they can overcharge for everything more now.

Just played through GoD2 up until Ashley's section which i recruited her and her
brother. I have to say while most of the translation is good there is weird tone shifts that I can tell the translator did lose focus. For example
1. In the scene where Percy gives back the pendant to the child. The child mentions they did not "want to be an asshole" which should just say "did not wish to be a burden"
2. Weird speak with one dialog in the dungeon nearing the end of chapter 2 about "muh oppression" this is in one of the Green Crystal rooms. I guess the translator was bored with the dialog.

Other than that I can say the game is good if you are used to Dungeon Crawlers. The enemies move and are not just standstill illustrations, the combat is really quick, animations on skill attacks. But I can say the UI is confusing unless you know Diablo, and use your mouse throughout. This is not explained much except by NPC's spread in the map. There is no real explanation about the Materials, Kitchen, and how to enchant weapons etc. Also the map while good did become redundunt having to travel down the same starting routes a few times. I would suggest turning the game on easy just to save the trouble of not knowing how to enchant weapons, use materials etc, the game is much quicker that way. I can only hope we can get GoD3 and it learns from this. Because there is some good things about this DRPG even if it's a little rough around the edges.

With 2023 ending, it appears that Hamidashi Creative Totsu (Chinese build in January), Dungeon Travelers 2-2 and Sekai/Subete were the only significant titles to be rejected by Valve during the year. Of those, Sekai/Subete was an R18 build and DT2-2 may have been a case of the publisher giving up on making a build that would pass Valve review as the banned page never popped up.

Obviously other titles ran into delays as a result of Valve's review process (publicly including UsoNatsu, Amazing Grace, Destiny Star Girlfriend, and Succubus Sessions, with likely more behind the scenes) and with what recent Steam builds have looked like the content restrictions are likely as strict as they have ever been, but the drop off in perma-ban rejections seems to have lasted for the year at least.

Honestly I found it really strange for DT2 and DT2-2 to be rejected when it was rated by the ESRB in the first place again as T. I keep theorizing it might be because Valve is in Washington or they just really dislike the lolli looking characters as a whole.

I am thinking they are beginning to reverse perma bans as Developers and publishers have complained about it being unfair and not making any sense. So instead they have decided to look into builds personally which means the delays will be much longer. But hey no more perma bans from the platform.

The policy change seems to have been very simple. Chaos;Head Noah got banned, created a PR mess with significant media coverage in both English and Japanese, Valve reversed the banned and explicitly said they made changes to their policy, and most of the bans stopped immediately afterwards.

There really isn't the same pressure on Valve right now for most titles as there was before the policy change. If something like Nukitashi requires cutting 95% of the content to get on Steam and there isn't a chance of randomly being insta-banned, Valve is happy to get the revenue that comes from effectively hosting just the launcher without the content their review team wouldn't accept, the player base will actively seek out the patch, and Shiravune is happy to have the title on Steam.

maybe you should learn about how different things appeal to different people, i liked the original one when the fan translation came out in 2007 plenty for what it was, no need for every work of fiction to blow my mind with its contents

It's not about supporting the game, half the tiers are shit like "Go eat with the creators" "enjoy a one day tour of the actual locations" "Get your name put somewhere in the game!"
