Then you still haven't realized just how many artists remove their works without any warnings. For anything that isn't very popular, this sort of redundancy is only an illusion. A lot of reuploads are reencoded and/or are harder to search. Accounts or entire websites can disappear overnight, the older work is, the slimmer chances are to still be accessible somewhere.

You can usually see the components of an mmd such as above by looking at the credits below the video.
Just don't use human covers of the songs if the dancers are vocaloids.

I don't see much talk of Deadball-P on here. Kind of understandable when considering how explicit his lyrics are... But a lot of his songs, like Vegetarian (https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2260233)) and Maybe I'm not a human (https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2166779)) sound REALLY good. I love the old style of tuning and the variety in genres all his songs. They're all so upbeat and the melodies are very catchy. I first discovered him a few years ago but only really got into his music recently. I've been listening to all his albums nonstop for a week already. Even though many of the lyrics are way too sexual, some of them can be interpreted in a way that almost makes it artful, haha.

within that same year, the first Various Artists Vocaloid compilation; Vocarhythm was released, also featuring deadballP. so it is safe to say cooming to miku was an early tradition, and deadball has also been highly regarded too i guess.

There are people who don't want to see AI and that would much rather look at the real thing. At least that is true for me. About what you said of PS, that's good news. it's similar to how people were butthurt by the rise of digital CGI/animation. It lowered the bar in some ways so it allowed a lot of talentless hacks with no aesthetic sense to produce stuff that wasn't completely obviously amateurish to other talentless hacks, or it was serviceable enough that any drop in viewership was made up for by an increase in output. The latter one is probably why anime went down the waifuslop path because even if the animation is garbage if you make some cute character designs you can still move merch.

This is no different from humans and it never stopped humans from being innovative.

The reason why current AI works might not be as interesting is because they are simply not as smart. Having a dataset doesn't mean anything, humans learn from other humans as well. It's just that current AIs are not as good at thinking abstractly, they are pretty good at more basic stuff like cohesive style or theme, but not as good at eg conveying a message or some narration(or even proper anatomy). But just like it's not impossible for retarded humans to make interesting art, it's also not impossible for AI to do so, it's just much less probable and frequent. But they are getting smarter and smarter so it's just matter of time. And a smart human can make up for AI's drawbacks to create something taking the best of two worlds.

yes, a human studies works and receives inspiration from dreams and other sensations. LLM based AI literally works based on third worlders looking at a picture and assigning a list of text based tags to it. Then when it receives a prompt it looks at all of the image or text data it has associated with those tags it doesn't feel anything nor does it think, it processes and regurgitates. Over time it will get better at processing and regurgitating but LLMs will never fundamentally do more than that.
The term "stochastic parrot" perfectly describes what an LLM fundamentally does and some of the people who wrote the paper that came up with the term got fired from google for fundamentally BTFOing all of the hype around MUH SUPERINTELLIGENT AI before it even started. Do you even know anything about AI at all or are you just talking out your ass? As a compsci undergrad years ago I interned at an AI research lab back when the NNs and deep learning hype was fresh and the model you describe was already outdated. Newer AI models for imagegens and LLM like chatGPT are on a completely different level. They do not regurgitate and parrot their inputs or training data anymore than humans do.

this is also prone to failure as imgur has changed their policy on NSFW pics so some of them got deleted (those are the ones commented out), and technically the entire script is against their TOS as they specifically exclaim you are not allowed to use them as a CDN. i just don't want to pay for a CDN. i used to just reference files locally but firefox killed that years ago as it's a security concern.

for the record, i got most of these mikus by searching various boorus for hatsune_miku plus the transparent_background tag. they are not carefully curated per say, just desperately compiled together, so there is no theme here.

some of them i made myself with a very involved, long, and very autistic cut-out process that typically takes a couple of hours to days per image by manually adjust the transparency of the pixels with brushes after meticulously cutting out my miku with the path tool. safe to say you have access to some very rare transparent mikus.

i just installed the photoshop beta which has made it clear to me the autoselect wand has gotten kind of better since i stopped using it for this type of thing as it usually sucked and left a lot of noise behind and ended up being more work for a worse result than just manually path tracing it and cutting it out with a layer mask which is the correct way. i used it for this image and got a pretty good result. i should map this method to an action now that i think about it. perchance.

I have finally got her, the OG Miku plushie. It's definitely an improvement from the previous bootleg I got, the materials are nicer and softer. And it has that internal frame for posing, which is nice I guess, at least it doesn't really gets in the way when you hug it, but I'm a little afraid I will break her if I were to sleep cuddled with her.
The big Miku is cute too and so nice to hug. It might not look all that larger, but definitely feels much more volumetric.

Man, it's been a few years since I last played Project Diva. There was the one time I played some on booth, but lord was I awful at that.
