depends on how blatantly weeaboo it's going to be. it was always interesting to get to know about other aspects of otaku culture than just anime/manga from /a/, but i hate the whole weeaboo shit like those japan-emoticon smiley faces, arbitrary use of japanese words or katana-vacuum bullshit.

/a/; /u/ for the softcore and lengthier relevant anime/manga discussion; /h/, /d/ for fapping

As one who was mainly /a/, one that appreciated the late night slowdown, and was really only there for the anime and manga content, not really interested in touhou flooding, figurines or where everyone is in visual novels, I can't say that there's anything that really is directly relevant to my interests here at all. The issue is the inevitable development of an unfounded air of elitism which has already appeared here, and the incongruous level of intentional shitposting that has cropped up in /a/ that I'm not entirely convinced isn't from the same people. It seems like there's a mentality of "I can pretend to be a good poster in one place and then destroy another", when both have the potential for quality that's been demonstrated in the past.
