Softer than plastic, but not super soft since it's still vinyl. However, you can get custom-made silicone/tpe busts that people make for them, or even a full silicone body in the case of something like Evoke Doll (though I personally shudder at the thought of trying to maintain that.) Certain dolls, like Angel Philia, also have softer vinyl by default. The dolls in this photo are mostly Dollfie Dreams (around 60cm,) and Mini Dollfie Dreams (which are 40cm I think.)

Weird and specific request: does anyone know where to get a 1/3 scale tea set that looks good? The 18" doll ones are a little lacking.

Now I'm sure I've read posts about these before but I can't remember so I'd like to ask, does anybody own one of these dolls or otherwise have any opinions on them? I've found people on reddit and dolldreaming who seem to be indecisive if they're recasts or not. To be honest I don't entirely mind if they're recasts but I'd still like a decent quality doll that doesn't feel cheap. The reason I'm asking is cause I have an amazon gift card.

I’ve seen a review for them on tumblr, the hands are a direct copy of Puyoo doll. I think the legs might be a copy too but I’m not sure. The elbows are awkward. I think the doll itself will feel ok but the cheap plastic will be sensitive to heat.

Oh, OK. So what's going on here is behind the bangs, the hair that would go down to the sides, or sideburns as they're incorrectly called sometimes, are peaked up to give that look. Aerith from FFVII has them without the bangs. You'll need a stiff hair product like a glue or fiber paste and to create and hold the arches behind the bangs and if you're using heat resistant fiber you'll want to use some heat too. Using a back end of one of those black plastic combs or other strong, thin piece of plastic to lift, separate and mold it. Google some anime wig style videos to get a better understanding of how you would do that, visuals will help with this I'm sure. I think you'd honestly be better off omitting them and just doing everything else in style. They look like a pain in the ass to maintain and your doll will still read as the character without them. You'll also run into the probability that the wig cap will show through if the wefts of the wig aren't thick enough.

Penginworkshop on etsy has a candy pink occasionally, you may have to dm him to ask when he'll get it back in stock though. He has a couple of styles he makes. He might even be able to swing a custom order for you? Otherwise you can check etsy for whatever marked up taobao stuff there is, assuming you don't want to deal with a taobao account and agent and all the nonsense that involves.
"Fantasy" color wigs are surprisingly rare I feel, even in vinyl circles. I've had to make my own.
