Quick question, is it morally wrong to SC over $100 to a girl's Hololive channel if you know they have a side-hustle channel where they don't have to split the revenue with Cover Corp. Supporting their side channel probably makes them feel more independent and happy, since they are their own boss and don't have to worry about getting fired.

Technically, it's even better if they have a streamlabs or something because the Youtube cut for Superchats is already ridiculous.

But yeah, if you want them to get more money or don't like the idea of Cover getting your money, then go support their side channel.

However, in most cases it's probably the V-tuber you like are not just the person themselves, unless you were already a fan of their other channel before discovering them as a V-tuber. But their design, their opportunity to collab with other Hololive V-tubers, a lot of stuff was provided to them by Cover so in that sense, SC the V-tuber's channel supports them creating more of that content and not just abandoning it for their side-gig if it ever became more successful.

She's also being low-key ignored by other girls in Hololive. She made a video about not being mad that other girls were scared to collab with her over the Zhang incident. I can't disagree with this more. Coco has been the #1 or #2 top SC earner for the last year. And there's moments where she publicly complained that Hololive wouldn't accommodate her in similar ways that they accommodate others. Wouldn't it make her feel much better to have members joining her side-hustle channel where she would get the full revenue. She also wouldn't have to fear getting fired. She has complete freedom to work how many hours she wants on her own channel. Plus she's not restricted to role play her Coco persona.
