I find that it fixes more things than it breaks. But lots of people accuse Win 7 or 10 of breaking things, and it's better to be precise about what is broken. I've used Windows XP 64-bit pro many years ago, so 16-bit applications didn't work for me then either. It's better to be precise about exactly what is broken

From this info alone I would assume that the カーネル being built on a 16bit program means the whole game requires 16 bit support. That anon is claiming that this info is wrong and that the installer alone is a 16-bit program. This would be an incredibly weird and nonsensical choice (since an installer should be easier to make up to date than an engine), but I wouldn't put it past the nips to do something so incredibly retarded.
I think my observation that it's unusual for an installer alone to not be compatible still generally holds true, as long as you know what you're doing.

If you want to have a story and harem at the same time, you are doing it wrong. Harem is by default incompatible with any halfway decent storytelling. It's fucking harem. The best you can do with that is do it like To Love Ru, and keep it lighthearted and lewd. Not without reason one of the biggest in its genre, inspiring a ton of other works. Or have every girl fly at the protag, but still have dedicated routes.
Trying to do more usually just becomes dumb or ignores the harem thing during it. Or both, like Evenicle, which becomes dumb and doesn't really care about the harem stuff during its later story events and it's mostly a separate thing whenever you return home or go to an inn.

So what really began the change with things like oretuee+harem etc to become a thing later down the road? Stuff like legendary nakige Kanon(1999) as one example. How you ask?

In Kanon as you know very bad and ugly things can happen to the heroines, life is truly suffering but the MC Yuichi-kun bless his soul saves them from their tragic endings where even death is very likely.
However if Yuichi-kun let's say saves one heroine what happens to the others? In Kanon as you know there are such circumstances that they can't just ask a random ikemen for help it has to be Yuichi-kun so when the players went for a second run to help other heroines they were effectively leaving the rest of the heroines to their demise. Why can't Yuichi-kun save them all? Why?why?

And so the derivative work patricians got busy, usually at that time altering the original was even more of a sin then it is now so they kinda wrote them as additional endings, Yuichi-kun who manages to save everyone and score them. What? What do you mean he's effectively cheating on the first heroine? What is more important? Should he let the girls die/leave them to their terrible fate?
No absolutely not.

And so was born the ultimate super Yuichi , competent in all fields, having such time schedule and being such a chad that he was able to save all of them.
But having abandoned 1:1 coupling meant basically pursuing a harem

But then he managed to get so close and bond with all the girls he saved(you know if he effectively did every route) would he just dump the heroines and let some other guy have them ?(this was a thing for a while too the 'leftover girl coupling' which people

While with anime or whatever it's a little different, childhood friends are a terrible thing in eroge, as they are supposed to lose but don't, which usually makes zero sense. I'm dropping Gekkou no Carnevale. I wanted to like it. I like the setting, atmosphere, music and the production values are great as well. (lots of backgrounds for example) But, as always, the writing and story are just nowhere near good.

Honestly, why do writers love basing their predictable story around misunderstandings between characters so much? Why do they like to care so little about characters acting in ways that can be believable instead of doing anything just to advance the plot into the predictable direction they want it to go? Also, kick the dog villains are awful. Why not actually put a LITTLE work into villains? Gotta say, I've not seen a more by the book "kick the dog" villain scene like this in a while.
Of course, the answer to all of that is: Because most readers apparently don't care either. A shame though, because the setting and SOME characters show some promise. Ever since Rebecca started to appear, everything went downhill fast though. To the point I've not even managed to get till the final heroine. Not like that would matter at this point, given the general quality of the story and writing. Everything feels so fucking artificial. No natural flow whatsoever. I can't care anymore.

My instincts are telling me that this guy will be the final antagonist, not Okonogi. The nondescript, seemingly unimportant character who fades in the background can not be trusted in Japanese media or mystery books. I had a similar premonition about the characters in Danganronpa V3, Trails in the Sky, and Persona 4, and was right each time, they were hidden antagonists intented to shock non genre savy people; didn't work on me.

The conversation that occurred in this picture was too suspicious, the most suspicious part being this guy being the last person to be with Soujin before he mysteriously lost his memory after going unconscious from an 'explosion'. Nah, this guy probably beat Soujin unconscious and erased his memory. There are worse mysteries in crappy mystery books such as Still Life. Figured that one out within 50 pages. Even some lesser known Agatha Christie mystery presented a more boring, formulaic mystery than Umineko, with the bland, one-dimensional characters not helping getting invested in the first place.

You might think the solution is stupid, but it was heavily foreshadowed since the second episode and and is completely plausible when you consider that an entire group of characters are accomplices that are assisting the culprit. Rosa even states the most suspicious group of characters in the first episode. Considering the culprits personal situation at the time, the power he had, and the ineptness of Battler, the mystery and solution to in in episode 1-4 make complete sense.

The goats represented the people who had a tunnel vision focus on 'whodunit' at the expense appreciating literally everything else, including the themes, characterization, character development, action scenes, trolling, and heartwarming scenes of the game. yeah, it's pretty cool how heavy on the foreshadowing Umineko can be. re-reading episode 2 is quite a ride when you know what's going on. I really like Umineko a lot and its ending might be my favorite ending to a visual novel ever.

I have some qualms about how the manga handles the solution but you should check out the episode 8 manga if you haven't. I found the manga's ending to be even more of a tearjerker than the vn's personally
