Ok how many books have you read other than oreimo, as most lns are about as well written and a lot are worse like toradora and gj-bu and I think you can not really tell good from bad writting at this point. I think volumes 6 and 10 are my personal favs of oreimo and overall oreimo is a pretty fun series overall. Plus as the series goes further it gets more unique from the anime which makes it more fun as the first five are pretty exact to the anime besides a couple of chapters. Hope you have fun.

i really beg to differ that you can tell good writing from bad writing as soon as you have 99%+ comprehension rate of it. A lot of the things i didn't like about oreimo are also present in bad writing in english. Loads of exposition for expositions sake (the main character mentioning every other line either how normal he is or the fact that what is happening isn't normal for example.). its just shit writing when the story starts with shit like "my life up until now has been extremely normal" + "super whacky thing happens omg xD" that you see in every shitty light novel ever. its nothing more than escapism fantasy for wagecucks/neets who hate their lives.
