i'm assuming you mean what have i been playing most recently. here's a screencap of my vn folder, i've gotten at least partly through about half of the titles (はつゆきさくら and 恋する夏のラストリゾート are in the sagaplanets folder).
i've been playing noroi maken the most lately, along with a little bit of yuri ghosts on rooftops. also lovely cation is one that i'll finish at some point, if my time and attention span can be maintained for long enough. i'm going through spice girl's route first since i like the idea of a girl stepping on me with an 嫌な顔 and she seems like just the ticket. blond haired teacher seems good too but too bad it doesn't have a short haired quiet girl in the swim club or a little sister route imo

You could buy the PC port of Vita version for dirt cheap with the compulsory start-up Island advertisement, but they also sold a full-priced version without the advertisement. I actually got a pretty good (as in, not death) ending in that game on my own without a guide. It definitely took a few tries though, and I also didn't realize that you can also send the twins to areas on their own to unlock storylines rather than just sending the MC around.

I eventually did look at a guide to 100% the game though. I really don't see how one could do that without the guide without a shit ton of effort and trial and error.

Impact Rod>Tackle is a good starter that gives you a lot of movement, airborne SD>Kadokura has a ton of armor and aoes but it takes a while to unlock it, and the Shotgun is actually very good for breaking through all of the armored enemies on very hard and in survival. A few slots in your loadout can also be dedicated to utility moves like an anti-air, projectiles, aoe, a panic/escape button, counter, etc.
If you don't use Initializer already then you should start using it, even easy Initializer combos with scrubby inputs (aaa>bbb>ccc>IN>aaa>bbb>ccc) can do way more damage than with normal FCs. You can also use Initializer outside of combos to slow down the enemies to dodge projectiles, escape dangerous situations, or get an easy hit on a hard to catch enemy. Your second FC should be either an aoe or a projectile.
Use your dashes to move around, use them to cancel unsafe moves like a missed tackle, use them to dodge enemy projectiles, mix them with search-dashes to catch enemies. You (and enemy bosses) have a lot of armor on wakeup until you use a move, so sometimes it's better to take a knockdown instead of teching. Standing still will make your heat go down faster so do that when you can. Search-dash has minor armor so you can use that to get through small projectiles easily. Against larger enemies and bosses you can wait until their heat is high to make approaching them safer. Watch the FC meter of enemy bosses and be extra careful when they have it, Chinatsu especially loves to bait you into her spiral kick FC.

I can't get on the tsubaki route in mojika. I keep getting the shintai ending even though I chose the same stuff that's in the guide. I can't even really tell from the guide what the difference is between the tsubaki route choices and the bad end choices. I mean one of them has looking up at the crowd twice (which gave me the bad ending) and the other has looking at the crowd, not looking, looking at naruko, then looking at the crowd again, which gave me the exact same ending. I'm confused.

Stick with the remake. It's nowhere as bad as people make it out to be. Most of Urobuchi's text is still kept intact except some nsfw contents. There's only one filler part that's entirely anime-original, but you can easily Ctrl-S through it if you want.

The remake has way better production value than Integration, the original art is so bad that it's just laughable. The added voice acting is all-around solid and really adds a lot to the overall experience (Sawashiro Miyuki voiced one of the heroines FYI)

Besides, there's a game-breaking bug in Integration that makes the game literally unplayable unless you run it on old OSes.

Just finished Tsumugi route in Summer Pockets. The last part is quite touching, but now that I remember it again, it's completely crazy ride. Whoever write her route must be not right in his head.
They keep yelling that each of them loves the others more than the others could love the others.
Also Hairi should just end up with Shizuku instead of "Oh well, we would be able to meet her again next year for a month, and we can just leave the real Tsumugi on that weird closed space because we loved her teddy bear the most after all."

Talk about it. I feel like at times it was solely included because it was the time. The 90ties were all about stretching gametime by silly means. Though later they realized how you can pad eroge with narration.

That said, that not even remakes remove the silly outdated mechanics only in the game to stretch your playtime is a little stupid. There should be at least an option. Like the remake of pic related looks and sounds great and the story seemed interesting enough. The "gameplay" however made it take so much more time than it needed to with 0 gain, because everything is utterly linear.

To me it feels like a nukige and charage mixed together. There's quite a bit of inter-cast interactions in Otona 2, with all the old characters playing roles of various importance (e.g. Otona's MC and Asuka play an important role in Otona 2) but I'm still fairly early into the story so perhaps it changes later on. It certainly feels like a nukige at times however, and the first Otona also features a lot of random sex strewn about.

I'd probably put it at something like 70-80% nukige and 20-30% charage, but I'm likely wrong so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I just looked into Izayoi no Hanayome, and god dammit, that game has over 180 unique CG, most for lewds. That's probably 30 or so hcg for each of the 5 heroines. Times really changed.

That said, I kinda hoped for a little more than just a nukige with simulation stuff in there, where I probably have to search the net for something that explains all these stats to me. First one is merely decent and just introduces the setting. Second is god tier throughout. Fun new characters, the plot thickens and the twists are great. Third game was okay as well but I didn't find its twists as good as the second game's and overall it's just a direct continuation of where the second left off, which is fine but I think the game didn't introduce anything wildly new that peaked the second game. Third game also has bit of an issue with a convenient asspull flashback / background dump plot device that the characters rely on all the time, which doesn't feel a very natural way of solving a mystery.

I don't think that fits the definition of chuuni in any way, but I agree with your complaints. Though to me it wasn't a gamebreaker and I felt the several good twists that didn't rely on it made up for that silliness.
