Why are long socks, and other legwear, seen alot in Japanese culture on anyone from little girls to mothers, while they are seen as slut wear in the west?

This is always a very interesting cultural difference, as the most you will see long socks in the west is as part of a boy's school uniform.

Same reason as pigtails/twintails are seen as for sluts: Girls in the west(America) only act or dress cute to get at your cock or dollars. The only girls who wear cute things normally are mentally damaged geeks, who are super slutty.

Because of this, thighhighs have become part of slutty cosplay done by porn actors and the like, reinforcing the idea.

How do you guys shave if you have unimaginably hairy legs? I tried it once and it failed, so I ended up getting them waxed and it hurt like HELL since the roots are so thick and deep. I haven't gone back since and my legs are back to the Sasquatch state they were originally in. Why is being soft so hard. I just want to be cute.
