Age of consent is a pretty difficult thing to determine if we look at it from a biological not a legal standpoint. When girls start getting their periods and become fertile, maybe? When boys hit puberty? Or maybe when kids are able to express their thoughts and talk coherently? And the most important question is, why does it even matter? If 12 year olds want to have sex, they will, no matter what the law says.
