If you want a kawaii OS for casuals, use moebuntu:
http://moebuntu.web.fc2.com/home_eng.html
Ubuntu proper also has an official manga and some varied mascots.

Some people, presumably from /g/, were also working on an OS called Futaba Linux. It was essentially like BSD with some ideas inherited from sta.li. Non-GNU userspace, statically linked everything, single init script, etc. I doubt it went anywhere, though.

We don't like Linux, since it has absolutely no support and actively attempts to be user-unfriendly and unwieldy to be "hardcore".

>We don't like Linux, since it has absolutely no support and actively attempts to be user-unfriendly and unwieldy to be "hardcore".

Don't be so ignorant. I feel the same way about Windows. There are a lot of inconsistencies and thin clients built on thin clients. They chose to use some dumb registry system instead of creating a proper, multi-user operating system built on the simple standards UNIX had developed decades earlier.
Linux isn't trying to be leet and difficult, and if you want something easy and graphical there are distributions for exactly that. Commercial support and written documentation is available. Plus when was the last time you could go into IRC and ask a bunch of nerds for help with your Microsoft software, including the people who wrote it? It's hit-or-miss, but Linux nerds are crazy autistic about spoonfeeding you.
