I've only given it one listen through but I enjoyed it. I haven't heard it enough to fully critique it.

I was thinking about compiling a pastebin "guide" like you see in the buyfag and other general threads but for overall doujin music. I haven seen one for Denpa and J-Core but am thinking about putting something more general together. Basically an overview of the genres, circles, where to look, etc.

Think it would be worth putting together? Would anyone be intrested in adding to it once I have started it.

I love this thread, which is why I continue it. I've been exposed to many genres and new albums over the months and it seems like other anons have as well. Overall we have some great talks about music and artist and I'd like to keep it going.

Spoonfeeding? It's about sharing doujin music. It's mentioned in OP that it's encouraged to include the genre and circle. A album cover is usually more than enough to find an album but if someone wants to share it, what's the problem?

If i posted an album and someone looked, couldn't find it and politely asked for a source, i would give it. People have asked for help looking for similar albums and have gotten it.

We're already immersed, it's helping others out, expanding our taste and library is the point of this thread. Spoonfeeding is a bit out of context. As for a guide, it would help people new to doujin music, I don't care either way but it would deter actual spoonfeeding which I haven't seen yet in the 3+ months these threads have been going.

Please don't pretend to be me. I've been making these thread for months now because I enjoy talking music with /jp/, who happens to have surprisingly great taste. There are plenty of people who like VoW since it's different and has some really strong tracks, but it's definitely not amazing. MS has a horrible habit of making their Touhou melodies feel very tacked on, and it's especially bad since they, in comparison to most circles, have an extremely unique sound due to the huge amount of sampling, making it feel even more ham-fisted. It feels like they are holding themselves back because they are scared of being neglected if they were to make original tracks over Touhou stuff.

MILD⇔LIGHT is arguably more poppy and has a wider appeal, but Vibration of Womb fulfills a niche that is heavily neglected in the doujin scene, so it will inevitably get quite a bit of attention.

>If i posted an album and someone looked, couldn't find it and politely asked for a source, i would give it.

This is fine, I guess. If they were too stupid to find the album themselves, but at least attempted, that's one thing.

However, we're talking about subhuman trash who just instantly ask for handouts, without even looking. These pieces of shit should not be helped, nor encouraged. Throwing up a giant list of albums specifically FOR these types of people is nothing but encouragement. You're basically throwing in the towel against their never-ending begging.

That is bad, if you haven't cottoned on yet.

What's the problem with, "I like x, are there any similar albums/circles"? People normally spoonfeed to keep away undesirables. There are no "recommendation" charts for doujin music I know of and even if there were taste is subjective.

Asking something like above is fine in a thread like this. Everyone here has doujin music as a common interest and there's no reason to keep anyone way unless given a reason. If someone asks for help like a faggot, chance are they won't get help. You're trying to hard to force a standard where it doesn't need applied.

What's the problem with, "I like x, are there any similar albums/circles"? People normally avoid/condem spoonfeeding to keep away undesirables.

Despite my personal distaste of pathetic faggots who can't find their own damn music, there is nothing "wrong" with asking this. It's the people who respond with giant fuckoff lists of 99999999999999999999 circles, complete with downloads to every single one he lists that I have a problem with.

>People normally avoid/condem spoonfeeding to keep away undesirables. There are no "recommendation" charts for doujin music I know of and even if there were taste is subjective.

Good! This is great! Let's keep it like this and we'll be okiedokie.

Wait, what's that you say? Making a "recommendation" chart is EXACTLY what this guy is trying to do?

Now we're directly spoonfeeding these pieces of shit. Hell, we're ultra omega super supremecy spoonfeeding. We're spoonfeeding so hard we're preempting the fucking babies questions. Jesus, why don't we just make recommendation charts and helpful guides for every single thing /jp/ likes, so that we can welcome and assimilate every retarded faggot who happens to click "/jp/."

If you took your time and read, he said music is subjective and recommendation charts for music are useless.

Having a pastebin "guide" has never hurt a thread and it won't kill your beloved board culture. It's to prevent frequently asked questions that you see in most threads and provide basic information to people in the same fanbase.

It's to answer frequent questions and provide basic information. Do want to see requests for the most recent patch or irc channel in every Hisoutensoku or Melty Blood thread? Do you want people asking how to maintain their figures and other merch in every buyfag thread. No. These are valid questions but it's better to address them in a 'guide' than explain it countless times.

People don't spoonfeed to discourage recommendation threads and maintain the board culture. Helping others expand who share the same interest is normal and encouraged.

He posted shit in a buythread just for people to see what he had bought. He is an attention whore.

There done. It's as simple as that. Every single action he took after that is MORE attention whoring. Justify it as "helping out" as much as you want. Facts are facts no matter what justification you use.

The idea of a buythread I figured was similar to when you get home from Halloween and start going over the candy you got with your friends.

Sure, on some level, it's attention whoring, but it's not as big as a deal as you're making it out to be. Maybe by not being a prick about it, and saying "hey, this is how you help yourself" and demonstrating it, you'll probably have a much larger community of people who understand what to do and are there to expand on things that we'd be limited to by time or willingness.

Being elitist isn't going to make things better. It's just going to make people resent you. The fact that you keep going on it just annoys me even more. We want people here, to help, to distribute, to discuss, to ENJOY. You're not doing any of those things.

So is the problem people who posted sources in their initial post, people asking for recommendations in this thread (1 person asked for class Touhou music) or is it that OP was considering making a pastebin going over the basics of Doujin Music since this is a reoccurring thread?

People expand on music by exposure, people don't normally go all out searching genres they aren't familiar with, which is why people share. I enjoy this, you might too. What is the problem?

A little bit of this, but not for the reasoning you think. People asking for "recommendations" is fine, PROVIDED they actually legitimately searched for it and turned up nothing. For example, there is some stupid piece of shit who asked for 3 separate albums in one post. I searched for them in google and found 2 of the 3 in approximately 3 minutes or less. This person deserves none of those albums. What is the true problem, however, is the people who readily give up these links just to "help out." You should do this so that we can have more people who know what to do on their own and thus will help the community by providing us with new content. Just because they prove to be stupid now doesn't mean that they're going to be stupid forever, especially if it's something like having to trawl through ridiculous amounts of information to get a hold of a single album.

Thanks.
Though... I think we should start addressing that you're arguments at times seem somewhat fallacious.

>Except it isn't a "ridiculous" amount of information.
In this one instance, yes you're right, it isn't, but if we look at this globally, there's a lot that needs to be processed in regards to obscure music. Especially in regards to foreign music. I guess in reality we can only wait until someone comes and asks for help with a download for something REALLY obscure, but we should be looking at it from an overall perspective rather than just incident by incident.

That being said, this is why I think we should use a pastebin.

>And that "standard precedence" would be setting the bar really goddamn low. We're better than that.

You can't just assume that. If we have something that is detailed, verbose, and covers a lot of aspects in not only the areas of genres and artists, but also how to go about find the music itself, then we can have a much higher standard of precedence.

>But really, if there's anyone stupid enough to follow a thread and ask questions about something that is easily found, then fuck, by all means you can rip on them all you like.

Like I said, we're addressing this from one isolated incident, which would be something that we very well could cover with the pastebin. At least at that point we have more justification for being elitist (despite it not being something I'm too fond of) but also by having the pastebin, we have that extra filter to keep the "riffraff" out, because at least those that are interested will follow it.

This. Fucking this. If you show people this then it is the new standard. THEN when people come in asking something they should already know we can tell them to look at the current information or fuck off. Right now shit is scattered everywhere, someone who's coming in new is either going to have to trawl through old forums or just lurk for months/years. >then we can have a much higher standard of precedence.

Except we'd have the exact opposite of that. People can't and don't learn when everything is literally given to them on a silver platter. Why bother, when you can just rip off of someone else's hard work?

>Like I said, we're addressing this from one isolated incident, which would be something that we very well could cover with the pastebin.

An isolated incident which is incredibly indicative of the problem at large, yes. There is little variation in the requests for spoonfeeding, and they are usually covered with the same amount of effort.

You're talking about people ripping off someones work, in a thread that is pretty much about the piracy of doujin music. I get that it's not obviously the direct subject line of the thread but lets be real here, it's how nearly everyone here is getting the music. You've talked about irony before but holy shit.

I actually get and partially agree with a bit of what you're saying but there needs to be SOME sort of information passed on to people. Yes, people in the past have learned this information themselves through lurking or whatever but that wasn't because people held information back, it was because it was a lot harder to get. We shouldn't be holding things back now because of some imaginary standard that needs to be set.

At the end of the day people are just trying to listen to the music. I don't see why a big deal has to be made out of apparently protecting a small scene.

Why shouldn't I cut out the middle man, anyways? Why do I need to call them retarded only AFTER they have been given the shit they are looking for on a shiny silver platter? They were clearly too stupid to find it on their own even BEFORE they found this hypothetical "guide."

Don't even get me started on how pathetic your argument about how "scattered" shit is. It's so goddamn "scattered" that it took me approximately 3 and a half minutes to find every single album (I looked for the last one just recently to challenge myself) that guy was looking for.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. Just because shit boards have guides doesn't mean that the guides are what causes the problem. They're shit boards because their topics are shit.

>Except we'd have the exact opposite of that. People can't and don't learn when everything is literally given to them on a silver platter. Why bother, when you can just rip off of someone else's hard work?
No. See, we'd be helping them to learn how to do this on their own. We're not just going to give them the shit. That's not what a guide does. It's like the difference between a guide for a videogame, and having a friend give you that save file that has everything unlocked and it's at the final boss.

"Guide" seems to be a word you're not quite comprehending here. Give them directions, tell them to do it themselves, they LEARN to do it on their own. That way when they come back, asking for help, they can say "I looked here and there and all over and I still can't find it" then we know they're legit.

That's the extra filter.

What? Are you serious. "back in the day" you had to use Winny and 洒 to get this stuff or pefect dark. All of those are Japanese P2P programs. So instantly you've got a barrier for people that don't know Japanese. Then you had to actually know the album ID's or ID for what you wanted, to know that you'd need to know Japanese to look at the sites that listed the IDs. Once and IF you found what you were looking for it would download slow as shit or if you get really unlucky would be corrupted by the time it was done.

So do you know how people actually learned to use it. Guides. Wouldn't you know it, people decided not to be selfish dicks and teach people what to do. Getting music through filesharing sites is pretty new.

People on most of the other boards know what we're about, and what we do--when someone comes up and sees a thread like this and it actually piques their interest, and you tell them to "fuck off" somewhere, it really doesn't make it any easier for us to keep the riffraff out because that just makes us look like those angry upset nerds who sit alone at the cafeteria at lunch that's always angry about people touching his stuff.

That's a surefire way to attract shit attention,

>Tell me that doesn't mean direct links
Totally. And I know you'll call me a liar, but hear me out. Google doesn't have all the answers, OK? not all the torrents in the first few hits have seeds, if any of them. Not all the file-sharing sites will show on the results.

Maybe there will be a need, at times, for repositories, but directing them to sites that have these things that can be indexed, searched (something like nyaa.eu comes to mind) and informing them about how to find it on their own would greatly improve our standards.

>when it's true?

My apologies, grandpa. By "back in the day" I was referring only up and till the creation of /jp/, and how it fits into the relevant discussion.

Though, we can still talk about how it was still simple to find them, since sites such as "Doujinstyle" have been around for a millenia and that's their sole purpose (providing "rare" doujin music in an accessible manner via filehosting sites.)

I should note that perfect dark is the newest of all of these. It only a few years old, maybe launched around 07/08. It's because of people using programs like these that we were even able to start spreading a lot of doujin works outside of Japan, at least back then. Can't say I remember too many people importing or even JP stores willing to ship internationally, at least not the smaller places anyway.

Ok so you haven't actually used any of those programs, you've not went through some of the bullshit to get stuff back then. So to me you're actually no better than the people asking for handouts. You're what people who have actually been around like to call the lechers. You don't actually get anything from the source, you're getting it from second hand sites and then acting superior because someone else don't know about it.

Obviously with how the internet has evolved things are a bit different now but a lot of shit still comes from things like perfect dark and 洒, in fact I know for sure that some of the more popular uploaders still get stuff through these programs. So in the end you really are no better.

That's not even remotely my attitude. I have repeated, often and loudly, my position. I couldn't care less about having my own knowledge of where to find things. It's the people who refuse to attempt to try to find things on their own, and the people who willingly give things out to the aforementioned people that piss me off.

Would that magically make the topic more relevant? Would that suddenly and arbitrarily make me even more correct? I could tell you countless tales of my searching for various albums on PD.

Why, though? Does that suddenly make me more "knowledgeable" or "credible" in the other (true) topic? I don't give a shit about that, nor is it relevant to this discussion.

He's wrong. I don't know what manner of searching he did, but I had to look no further than the first 3 links in every single case to find the relevant download.

He's absolutely wrong, or searching in an inefficient manner.

Most of the "responses" I've gotten from the riffraff of this thread have been, literally, along the lines of "this guy is an autist," "this guy is absolutely retarded (without refuting my argument in any manner, of course) "this guy speaks as if he's literally in an anime hurr," "just ignore him, he's dumb (still without refuting anything) or something very very similar to these lines. There hasn't been any views to look at, apart from yours, as far as I can tell.

It's relevant because you see the people asking for downloads or sites or whatever as trash, you see them waiting and asking for the handouts. To someone like me, that's what you are. Without the handouts you get nothing since you've not shown any attempt to go to the source of the uploads and get it yourself, without the uploads from the people who actually obtain the albums first hand you wouldn't have shit.

Now I already know you're going to come at me with,
>baseless assumptions
which is why I asked you to explain to me your history with the programs. You've insinuated that you have some history with them, so tell me about it. What you don't get is that to the people who obtain and distribute the content for people like you to get, that you are partly what you complain about. You wait for the hands that feeds, just like other people who are less in the know than you wait for the hand that feeds, which again could be someone like you. Only the difference is that for some reason you want to hold the information back. What if the uploaders held the albums back, what would you do then. Would you start scouring through P2P programs because you've shown no sign of doing it so far.

Are you retarded? You're literally doing the exact same thing, but just one small step up the ladder.

What's the difference between getting the upload from the original uploader, and getting it from a reupload? and what the FUCK does this have to do with the conversation about spoonfeeding?

>Without the handouts you get nothing

Et tu? You get nothing as well, unless you're going to try and claim now that you ARE the guy in Japan buying all the albums.

This is a short album with only 3 songs. I really like the second song " 共鳴の鼓動 " it is a simple vocal/piano song and has really beautiful singing. The other songs are metal and are OK. I can't find anything else by the same vocalist, it looks like she's just a writer for videogames or something and that album is the circle's first. I'll be hoping for more from them in the future. Not touhou.

I can't find it in the archive but I don't know where the hell else I would have got it besides the C82 threads... I guess i'll try to upload it:
