Japan actually has a large audience for American T.V Programs, so I really think that the Japanese people would buy into that brand of "pillow"/anime/studio from it's appearance from 30 Rock, thus driving sales and the reason why they would buy the appearance rights.

Well they would have to pay their artist(s) on hand for creating it actually and I don't think that show has those kinds of artist/worker in 30 Rock/Live Comedy shows, so they probably had to pay a separate pay fee an artist from one of their other studios for creating/putting in more work. In the 3DPD world both monogamy and polygamy have their pros and cons.
Monogamy:
