There's just something incredibly nostalgic about these forum signatures that makes me wish I was as skilled in Potoshop back then as I am today.

I wish /jp/ had signatures...

>> No.9907968

I would use soaring dicks as my signature. With text in gothic characters;"veni vici vidi" printed over.

>> No.9907970

I don't

>> No.9907975

They are nostalgic, but your idea is dumb op, just find a forum to post on that interests you.

>> No.9907990

You don't really need skills, do you? In my experience there was always one 15 year old who would pimp his wares to gain the forums favor. I thought just having photoshop was enough, and maybe 15 minutes of experience judging by the people who made them.

But yes, I too feel the nostalgia.

>> No.9907992

Every one of those signatures are just loads of pictures slapped together then covered in filters

Easy shit to do, and looks like ass

So three layers and a green overlay is skill?

Fuck I should get into like.. professional shit.

To the average person that is skilful, it blows their mind how you can do such a thing.

Hey you know what else was cute

Those sites where you got anime website layouts

You know like there would be a main 'domain' site and then the 'xD webmaster' would have like little web design sites where they had awesome table layouts featuring characters from Love Hina and Chobits and shit

So you'd learn HTML from shit like this then make your own bitching ass little anime site and then learn photoshop/paint shop pro (lol) and make cool avatars and shit

Well that was like 10 years ago now I guess?

The internet has left me behind...

While I agree that those signature images feel pretty nostalgic, I also get angry remembering that I knew many people whose signature would usually exceed their post length by a factor of 3 or 4.

I don't care if it's inconvenient for you, I am an interesting valuable poster and if you don't want to see my cool avatar and signature then fuck off somewhere else

Everyone in this thread is underage. Did you already forget that downloading Photoshop before torrents was like trying to find the holy grail?

I remember begging to people on forums asking "WHERE THE FUCK DO I GET IT" and they would respond with "dude just buy it i dont wanna get arrested!"

Says the retard using 'epic win' /a/-tier reaction pics on /jp/.

Get here last week? What's the problem? Lack of self-esteem? lol. Dude I was a big deal on at least 4 otaku forums back in the day, if I went back now they would probably still remember me. I guess you're bitter because no one has ever even noticed your shitty post, well at least today you can say you were replied to be a (former) internet forum celebrity. Left that behind now though, too time-consuming.

As I said, everyone in this thread is underage. Of course you weren't interested at the time! You were too occupied with shitting in diapers to care about Photoshop.

>> No.9908099

Whoa, I remember not too long ago, those guys on forums who made signatures and whatnot. Their threads would be huge and filled with happy people craving for their services.
I suppose that in real life that translated into popularity.

It was all a circlejerk all along.

Bitch-nigga, you have no idea who you be messing with. I was the top-dawg in at east 6 otaku forums and was in high-tier in several others. I had it all: sigs, nicknames, supporters. Even the mods had my back. Back in my day, you could be banned for just speaking down to me. You have no idea who you messing with. But one day I traded all of that for anonymity. Maybe one day, you could have been has important as me. You best check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Anime forums (and only anime forums) can be the biggest circlejerk club ever. Especially chat rooms like chatango where you have to make a personal account. Those kind of things are like their own personal playground and no matter how much of an idiot the ringleader is, you're always called out wrong for being anonymous &b instantly.

Everyone step the fuck off. I was a moderator on a well-respected otaku forum back in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if you losers posted on it. Hell, the way you're acting now, you might have been one of the fools who tasted my banhammer. I got tired of you idiots and your petty squabbles now and gave it all up. You guys make me wish for the good old days.
