Azuma needs to stop keeping Yotsuba from becoming a glorious anime already.

I mean Azumanga daioh had not problem and that was just a simple 4koma. Yotuba is an actual manga and more or less more content to make an anime out of.

Oh wow and seeing is how some of his earlier works were h-doujin grade porn I would not think this would concern him if this is to be true.

and as for him supposedly hating the anime adaptation did he state why exatly? Was it that some scenes were changed around (typical shit for any kind of adaptation and I dont agree with as well) or the kind of style?

From what I understand, his displeasure had to do with the flow and pacing of it as well as a couple of changes. Though, watching the experts on /azu/ discuss this in the past one would be lead to be believed he didn't like a single thing about the adaption.

It really depends, as with most works sometimes the the one in charge of the adaption will take the original creator and attach them to their hip to come out as close as might be possible, while another might piss all over it and cite the resulting work as their interpretation.

With anime, the mangaka usually have to cede to the animation company heading the project, on at least a few points. As with most things, the one with the most money has the most power. Not to mention, there wasn't much of a precedent for interpreting 4koma to anime at the time.

The answer is yes, but to varying degrees, except in some circumstances in which it's never sought.
