I never really stay with MMOs for very long. I played Mabinogi longer than most but in the end I just stopped due to the boring combat and controls.

Most melee/ranged skill loads instantly but have a cooldown, magic bolts have reduced cast time, combat is more about making combos with all your skills and less about spamming WM or fire counter on everything.

There are bard skills, playing music is now under a music skill list along with actual music based buff skills and even a music based attack.

Also fighter skills, hand to hand monk type skills which are highly combo based, damage is dependent on WILL stat, good 1 on 1 but bad in multiaggro.

G17 hits October 24th which I think will update the UI and could improve controls as a result. It adds the talent system which gives bonus stats depending on the rank of your skills related to the talent, its like having a "class" but you can change it daily. It offers x2 skill training for skills under the chosen talent.

G17 season 2 adds a puppet skill set where you literally fight like Alice using a doll or golem like construct, trap enemies with your strings and throw them around. That might be released at a later date as its S2 content, yet the main site background is already related to S2.
