What are we talking about, here?

This has something to do with her interactions with Eirin in PoFV, of course nobody plays PoFV.

She brings Eirin material (flowers, poison).

It's not that hard to work out really. Medicine is a doll youkai that specialises in poison, Eirin in a Lunarian that specialises in drugs. Medicine lives in a field full of potent poisonous flowers and Eirin wanted samples of some of them.

I like Medicine, it's a shame she's not going to be around too much, but I can't complain too much, she got to be in Shoot the Bullet as a rather annoying boss with a interesting mechanic.

She's the least popular character probably in the whole series

I'd love to see Yuka and Medicine team up in one of the later games. Medicine treats her poisonous flowers with respect, often talking to them as though they were a single person and Yuka is a god awfully powerful youkai who happens to like flowers and have some simple powers based around them.

They'd be rather gross to fight though, Medicine's poison slowing you down with Yuka's twin spark blasting you while can't dodge so good.

I have much more fan art of Medicine then I ever really found of characters like Rumia or Wriggle. All the lower level characters have a small dedicated fan base.

Rumia has the most doujin out of all of them though. Well. Other than Cirno.

One of the few crazier Touhous. Her problem is that she doesn't fit into any game that doesn't in some way have the main characters enter her field. She mostly stays on her hill talking to her poisonous flowers.

Patchy has a superior and a interest in gathering knowledge; if she can't find something out in a book she may actually go outside.

That said, I can imagine a few circumstances where Medicine can be pulled out of her normal routine. She's not very complex and doesn't even understand the concept of lies very well due to almost zero experience with people, you could tell her where dolls are being kept captive or otherwise manipulate her... that or she just gets bored and wanders around. She's kind of impulsive like Yuka, only much less intelligent as you would expect of a new born youkai that used to be a doll.

But which one IS the real Medicine? The small one or that girl? We will never know.

That said, Akyu isn't the most accurate source, but it's better then doujin fanon theory, even if fanon ideas are often more amusing.

That's interesting. I'll have to look up some doujins with her because I don't remember fanon theory behind Medicine.
