You could do night-shift stocking at a department store or grocery store. The first few weeks will probably be brutal if you're not in decently good shape already, but you can stay up late and you don't really have to talk to anybody all that much except for the odd co-worker here and there, who is probably in a similar boat as you.

>> No.9829904

Do you live in an area where you really have lots of options? If I want a job, I'm limited to either fast food (obviously around many people, in the day) or Wal-Mart. Which has some night positions, but people that I used to know still work there and they will ask what I've been doing for years. They'll give me shit for not being married and having twenty kids or something.

You have obviously never looked for a job before. No place is going to just hire you simply because you filled out an application. There's a 20% unemployment rate for men 20-30. You would be extremely lucky to get a fast food job or a night shift position. Don't speak Spanish? You're even more out of luck. You're not going to get a job any time soon. You really think you can just get a cushy night time job with minimal social interaction? You're really naive, kid. You would be lucky to get a job, and it's probably going to take you months of job searching every day and applying to over 100 places. I was at my wit's end and then finally I caught a break and got approved for autismbux. I'm still going to university, but I'm not depressed anymore. My autismbux will probably get cancelled with my luck and if that happens, I'm going to be homeless. Meanwhile, I haven't gotten a call back from any of the 40 or so places I applied to , even though I have 4 Associate's degrees. Just try to blend in with the other people. After you're home from class, go over your notes and make sure you understand everything. Read the book, do the homework. Start practicing memorization of the material whenever you can. Show up early to class especially if there's no class before yours and they let you sit in the empty room without the professor being there. That way, you can avoid walking to class when everyone else is walking in between classes. I usually sit in the back row. All you have to do really is show up to class and study 2 hours per unit per week. So if you're taking 12 units, you should study at least 24 hours that week.
