Really? I feel differently, like there's two levels of enjoyment and sources of interest: the "on stage" stuff and the "back stage" stuff. (FYI, I was the first of the "enjoys backstage stuff" anons in the last thread.)

Like, I really love the new Miku that's going around for the close-to-perfect portrayal (on stage), but I also love the performer playing her (backstage).

It's not just the fact she has a great body for portraying Miku, but that she seems to really care about the character. It sounds obvious and silly when I type it out (of course the performer should know how to portray their character) but this performer goes the extra mile. She's not just acting like a generic genki girl, but she's got Miku's mannerisms and even knows some of her dances even though *she doesn't have to know them* (since she's just a floor mascot, not an on-stage performer).

For me, seeing that kind of passion and love for a character sparks some interest in the person behind the mask. Of course there's the "on stage" part of me that forgets there's anything *but* the Miku character, but there's the "backstage" part of me too that wants to meet and praise the performer on a great job, too.

It is really interesting. You don't notice it usually because the mask is in proportion with the rest of the character, which (being based on anime) favours a larger head. With so many OCs and generic masks out there it can be easy to forget that anigao is supposed to imitate a specific character drawn in a disproportionate art style. (Pic related.)

I was like that too at one point, i liked everything but that. However i realized that it just looked better overall because the skin tone would match the face.
