Do you know how far gone their society is in Depression? Their Emperor/Princess had to be the spokesmen for anti-depressant drug Zoloft, because Japanese society doesn't let you talk about your personal feelings about depression and sadness.

There is a Japanese Artists who focuses his art on Japanese post-modernism (And no, it is not he Japanese artist who has those two anime character statues twirling their semen and breast milk around) and he painted a giant picture of the Edo Castle with a lot of other stuff going on in it. The main point of the painting was to show how the traditional Japanese culture that truly still is held on to today in many ways in current japan cannot keep going on in post-modern world of Japan.

Japanese artists come to America, because true artists in Japan cannot be successful in their line of work or socially.

They're just socially behind. They are still guided by principles of honour and appearances without regard for how harmful they can be. In a way it's terrible, because it leads to things like families too scared to report the schoolgirl being held captive in their basement, or people becoming isolated/suicidal before they can get proper support.
