The worst thing used to be going to coffee shops or convenience stores near me. Eventually the clerks would recognize me and try to make chit chat. It would always be so unnerving.

I work and have an education. I refuse to be lumped together by piss-drinking faggots that NEETs are.

That said, I only really go out to work these days. I can work out at home. I can play games at home. I can socialize from home. My cat is at home. Winter doesn't happen often where I'm at so reasons to go outside just lessened.

I just like peace and solitude the majority of the time. It's not that I'm anti-social, I just find most people too boring to converse with them for longer than a few minutes.

But if I go to a new location, my brain suddenly wakes up and I feel a lot more motivated to do interesting things.

Why do normals work, /jp/? What motivates them? I've always had a huge issue with motivation- Since childhood I never actually had anything that I wanted to work toward, and the only thing that kept me 'trying' (if you could really call it that at that point) in highschool and college was the idea that working then would mean I'd have to work less in a career.

Well, as it turns out laziness doesn't make a very good motivator, and I became a NEET. After a couple years of NEEThood my declining social skills gave birth to full-blown anxiety and I became a hikki.
