OP here. All of this is true, which is why I've been hesitant to give out my Steam ID.

It's a very sad day when Steam, of all places, is too shitty to find decent people to talk to. It's become Facebook for gamers.

I wish I could find people to talk to who don't have hundreds of people on their list or are jaded IRCers or established-friend-circlers.

I just want some nice, normal fellow NEETs to talk to who enjoy the same things I do.

I used to post my ID on here often and add everyone but I had to stop being a NEET and get a job and I haven't logged in since. It feels terrible, I'm never adding anyone again, they might think I intentionally stopped talking to them and feel hurt or offended. I should have been more careful.
