I didn't realize how weird it was for shinto miko to sing in a church before.

I am not a spiritual person, but churches fascinate me. The noble architecture, the shimmering stained glass windows and the lofty atmosphere appeal to me greatly.

You won't find any large churches. Christianity makes up for 1% of japanese population, despite dozens of their prime ministers have been christians of different flavors like Rozen Taro.

It's the portuguese pronunctiation. Portugal made a decent job at making a good impression, so missionaries came from there to evangelize. That was before the Shogun decided to assrape the farmers for demanding outrageous things like a fair share of the crops they grew.

Pictured: Christian little devil.

But Tutankhamun wasn't buried in a pyramid.

I guess his Japanese brother Ankhamaru might have been, though.

Christianity entered Japan by way of the Spanish and Portuguese. When you say Cristo, `Kiri `sounds more appropriate.

Funny story. When the missionaries in Japan would pray, they would say "Deus" because Latin. To the Japanese, it sounded like they were saying "dai uso" which means the "great lie".

You are so full of shit. "Deus" is not pronnounced like that in latin at all.

Also: デウス. This is how you write and read it in japanese.

Calm down, tough guy. We're talking about when Christianity was just beginning to make inroads into Japan. If you know about the Japanese, you would also know about their tolerance for making Japanese words out of foreign words that don't even sound the same.
