Blowtorches are too small (I've tried). A flamethrower will work though. You can by them at farm supply stores. You'll burn enough propane to make Rika jealous though.

Another option is one of those industrial heaters that run on gasoline. They are made to unfreeze pipes during winter. It will melt a shitload of snow, but it weights about 250lbs.
