I am on year 13 of complete agoraphobic isolation/GAD

dropped out of school at 13, have no friends and don't qualify for welfare because I am a man. I live with my mother. I don't even do any chores and am constantly bitter / cynical.

I only leave my house for doctors appointments and the occasional 4am walk... I go straight home if I pass someone on the street.

I am now 26...

None of it worked besides making it worse, the benzo withdrawals were horrid and I have brain fog / triple worse anxiety (common symptom) that will probably not go away.

At a certain point, you just lose the count. When I went to school, it was easy, things changed every year, so I could go back in my memory and know what year I was in by how my life was then. As I first became a NEET, it was also easy, I had my first NEET year, and my second NEET year, and.. after that I started losing track.

NEETing just feels too good. I know its eventually gonna destroy me, but I can't stop. I don't see why I should spend my years on a low income job like bringing around newspapers or working at a production line, I've done it before and its absolutely horrible.

As a NEET I actually get to do the things I want to do in life.

I've been NEET for seven years, and I do like to romanticize this lifestyle. It's nice to be able to do whatever you want, and to know that if you want to do something that you could do it. By default I do not feel that I'm better than most people. However, when it becomes apparent to me the people who live their lives on social networking sites, I begin to feel ever so better than them but of course I'd never let that affect how I act towards them. I treat people how I'd like to be treated regardless.

Anyway, back to the actual lifestyle part. As I mentioned, it's ideal for lazy people like myself who like to take it easy and enjoy simple things. I spend large amounts of time just laying around and thinking about and enjoying things, mostly weather and food. In my mind, everything I need is already collected in my house and I feel like I could spend an eternity just lounging around not doing much other than what feels natural. That's not to say that I never go out. I go out maybe two or three times a week. Sometimes it'll be an outting to the store, other times it'll just be a drive or a walk, or to a park to sit/lay down for a while.

I never finished highschool, I've never held a job, but I don't let that stuff get me down. I don't know why it would get anyone down, actually. In the future, if for some reason I decide that I'd like to get a job, I will take the steps to get myself a job. With the fewer things I've accomplished in life, I feel that gives me a very clean slate to start from. I'm not already leaning towards one area of study, nor to I have any professional experience that would point me towards a specific job. I'm just me.

I'm a hiki, but I have a job (Amazon picker) so I'm not a NEET.

I plan on save up as much money as I can, buy 8-12 acres of land deep in the woods somewhere and living it up Amish style, except I'll have battery-powered shit. All I'll have to pay for is property taxes yearly and some essentials, but other than that I'll grow/hunt/fish my own food, read, write, and just enjoy life as a truly free man.

Only 3 years. It's not so fun I have all the time in the world to improve myself and my art but I never make much progress. I'm not sure how far over 20 you want but I will be 23 soon.

This is the only reason I'm able to be outside without falling apart. Self-medicating with coke that I buy off silkroad is a bad habit, but it works.

I went to a convention last year and I was great, made a lot of friends, some girl kissed me, people were dancing with me, and it felt like I became God. The part they didn't know was that to maintain this I had to go to the bathroom every 45 minutes and do a line.

I always heard stories of how the tables in clubs like Studio 54 were caked with white powder and every person there was doing cocaine before dancing or they were fucking on the balcony upstairs.
