I'm happy that we have someone who likes everyone in the community as the dominate person in the United States. Thank you Cici for being the best performance based and socially based kigurumi in the United States. I love my kig sister so much! Things are so much better here with you in charge!

I'm not so much a fan of the transformation/fantasy stuff (eg: "the costume comes to life and seals you in").

Really the problem is that on some level I think of my fantasies as morally reprehensible. I'm not only asking to take away someone's agency, but in some respects to take their humanity away as well, to treat them as a belonging instead of a person. And further, that there's the possibility that I already think of other people that way, which scares me.

I'm different from these other people in the thread in that way. I don't want to become something else, I just want to "own" someone.

Incidentally, I find http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k0RqVoquAg kinda hot.

I really don't know how I became aware of it. Maybe it was from shows I watched as a kid? Or maybe I just like the idea of losing self-control/taking control away from someone? I can be a shy person so the idea of having inhibitions removed (by force) can be a powerful attraction.

>>9717764
Cosplay is a part of it too, in that it would depend very much on the character/costume/role involved.

But the fetish side of things is just one source of my attraction to anigao. Cosplay is another. Performance art is a third. For others (not myself) it could be a gender identity thing. People who try to pin down a singular reason for why others are interested in anigao miss the point that- like any hobby or interest- you can have multiple overlapping reasons.

>>9717856
I don't think that's too bad. There are those out there whose kink is to be "owned" and have their humanity taken away. It's a matter of finding someone willing to roleplay that with you, and doing it in a safe and mutually-satisfying way.

The fact that you know that you could be treating people as belongings and that you know it's wrong means you are several steps ahead of many people in terms of moral development.

I like that video too, but from the opposite direction. I bet that if we met in real life we could have some fun together.

On a kinda related note, I quit masturbating 2 weeks ago and I've noticed that my fantasies are becoming less disgusting and extreme. I don't even need to imagine someone hurting me to get aroused anymore. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Also, aren't there like, fetish communities and stuff? I'm sure some local bdsm club members are into encasement. I know several people who've been to fetish get togethers. (and no it's not like orgies or some shit, it's just about meeting like-minded people)

I'm not really saying I need this to be happy, I'm more saying that I know I'll never be able to entertain my true fantasies, and that they will remain just fantasies.

And I don't think I could even discuss this with actual people in real life, or even admit to anyone in real life that this is something that I think about.

I sort of view it as the abhorrent part of myself that I acknowledge and sometimes feed, but otherwise divorce from my day-to-day life. I'm not proud of it, and I'd probably be happier if it didn't exist, but it's there and I'm stuck with it.

sadly she was into bdsm and more of a 24/7 sub but encasement was not on her list.

I wouldn't mind Kigurumi if it weren't for those weird body suits. It's like an extreme cosplay, but the bodysuit adds this weird inhuman texture to what should be "skin", usually followed by off-colors both not humanly possible and not the same as that of the mask.

I like looking at this threads, though. I'm trying to find a good style for sculpting manga-like styled characters in 3D. I can make a photorealistic human, but hell if I can put together something like this--there are intricate balances between human features that I just don't understand yet.

>>9725135

It is an extreme form of cosplay, but to some that's one of the appeals of it, to "become" that character to the extent that no trace of the original person remains.

Then again, you also get people who wear the masks but not the bodysuits. It's not as common, but they're out there.

tbh I agree with this person. I go day by day no one even knows im into this sort of thing among my other fetishs for that matter, in fact if you ever met me irl id probably be one of the last people youd expect to be into this.

The point is that some people cant just bring themselves to do this for several reasons. My main reason is that if anyone ever found out about this my career would be destroyed and I really cant afford that.

At the same time to the ones that actually go out and do it I give you my props.

Probably the only situation i would ever consider doing this irl is if I knew someone who already did it and I would have to trust them almost completly to do it in a private setting but im not going to take the risk of even finding someone like that.

But you do have my sympathies. I wish I could advise you to just go for it if you have the money, if only so you don't have any regrets, and because there are always ways to keep this kind of thing private. But you know your situation better than me. There is always enjoying the fandom, though.

Nobody was comparing numbers with KCS either. We were simply enjoying ourselves and having fun. I'm sorry that anybody saw it as anything other than that. The second part of your post is also asshole behavior. Yes, there is a similarity between this and the furry world, in fact there's TONS of similarities with fursuiting in general on the technical side. But you say there is similarities with venom on your tongue.

I probably could have written that post better...
What I was trying to say was:
1. Self-harm is all morally the same. It doesn't matter whether you do it because you want attention or you believe aliens planted a tracking device under your skin or you believe you would be happier with less blood or you think your soul doesn't match with your body because God is such a klutz.
2. It's all the same because it's all futile and pointless. I can't say it's wrong because it's your right as a free person to do what you want with your body, but
3. That doesn't mean I have to use respectful terms for what you do. Comparing someone who had expensive cosmetic surgery with someone who is oppressed due to racial or religious prejudice is insulting, and only possible if you got your idea of what prejudice is like from Diznee's Pochahontas

You need to keep in mind that it's purely a social construct. Gender and sex are different things, both to academics and to Tumblr users. Think of a female, without thinking of her body. She acts, talks, dresses and thinks differently to a male. This is a) because of biological factors: hormones, genitals, physical fitness and whatnot, and b) because of societal facts: how females are expected to act, what is deemed desirable for females, and so on. b) varies quite a bit between time periods and cultures.
Now, say someone is born with a penis, but they act like a female. They do all the things a female does, liking the same things, dressing the same way, even thinking as females do. Besides having a beard and balls, they are, for all intents and purposes, a female. Some people think they were born this way, some people "grow into" it, the latter often because they felt they had to act in a male way because they were born with "XY" chromosomes. So then, why not let this person call themselves a woman? They're not trying to rewrite physical facts by saying they don't have a penis or whatever (though they may seek surgery), they're just identifying as something that fits them better.

The vast majority of transpeople don't seem to give a fuck, they just want people to accept their identity and not be a dick about it. Ignore the faggots with blogs who go on about "cis privilege" because they're either trolls or people with histrionic personality disorder.
Speaking of disorders, right now this is a mental disorder, because it doesn't fit with what psychologists call social norms. But it's worth keeping in mind that homosexuality was once a mental disorder, but now it's becoming more and more accepted. Maybe one day people will take it too far and start demanding equal rights for half-elf otherkin, but right now these people are doing something sensible that matches their physical/mental state instead of trying to be special snowflakes (usually).

Gender Reassigment Surgery isn't "hurting yourself" any more than getting a nose job you fuckwads.

Also did you know: THE single most effect way of curing a trans person's depression is allowing them to pass as their preferred gender. Nothing else has the success ratio.

Having your brain wired to believe it's XX instead of XY is not the same as thinking you are another species.

If gender is totally a social construct then why would surgery be necessary? If it is totally a social construct how are we even able to talk about this? Wouldn't anyone who acted like a woman be treated like one?

>>9740117
Last I heard, there are more risks involved in GRS than there are in getting a nose job.

You know that depression is not caused by a person's external situation, right? Something a person really wants being given to them can overwhelm a person's depression for a while, but they'll go right back to being depressed until they deal with their internal issues.

Having your brain wired to believe that you are anything other than you are is a problem with your brain. Believing that you are another race, gender, height, weight or species are not all the same thing. The one thing that unites them is that the problem is with your belief and not your body.

kigs are wonderful. They're only playing pretend and not trying to drag other people into their illness.

even if you want to call it an illness, what I'm saying is that the only cure is to be able to "pass" as the other sex.
The brain knows what it's supposed to look like, that's why phantom limbs happen when you cut one off, or why a lady who was born with 3 fingers on one hand felt 5 phantom fingers when the hand was cut off by an accident later in life. If your brain thinks that your chest should have boobs on it, the best thing you can do to feel comfortable is to put some there. Wanting to be treated with respect is not "dragging other people into you illness" any more than it is rude to be cruel to anyone who wasn't born "normal"

There's a lot of muddling of trans issues by people who just hate gender rolls or want to live outside them (which is fine but stop using the word trans), but legit transsexuals shouldn't be called horrid things for how they were born just like anyone else.

You know, I honestly agree. I think surgery is silly for transpeople, because it's having your cake and eating it too. It undermines the point of choosing a different gender if you also feel you have to have a different body.

In my ideal world, what you're saying would be the case. Obviously we'll always have biological men and women, but it would be nice if we could blur the line between the genders. Men should be able to bake cupcakes and have tea parties and like romcoms without being treated like "pussies". Women should be able to play the same sports and wear men's clothing and like Steven Seagal movies without being a "dyke". We're all living in towns and cities now, so the physiological differences (genitals, strength, food intake, etc.) rarely matter.

I know a few /jp/ers will scoff at this because /pol/ nerds and attention whores have ruined everything, but transpeople and /jp/ers largely want the same thing. You wish to be the little girl, and so do they.

See that seems silly to me. Who's to say someone can't change how they look to be happy with it? Yes, in a perfect world, no one would be treated different based on their relative masculinity or femininity (of which both are poorly defined anyway), but this ISN'T a perfect world. Social constructs may just be social constructs, but they exists and are highly ingrained. So ingrained that some people will kill someone else for not conforming. But even then, being treated as a man or woman does not change dysphoric feelings. If seeing your penish every day disgusts you or your brain is telling you that those lumps on your chest are alien growths that shouldnt be there, who you to decide that someone can't "eat their cake" because YOU think it's silly? I mean come on. Some people are comfortable in their bodies, some very much aren't, to a clinical level.

It also gets confusing because there are two factions of the trans communities. Those who believe in gender and want to fit into one or the other, creating new categories even... or those who believe in NO gender roles and want to abolish it completely. There's a lot of overlap of both these mindsets. "We should let everyone choose their gender and pronoun!" vs "Abolish all genders, you are just you!". It's a dichotomy most people don't even notice is there.
But that's totally different from people who feel in the wrong SEX. Don't get it confused. People who call themselves "genderqueer" and the like is fine, but putting transexuals in the same category often de-legitamitizes the fact that people do seriously feel out of place in their bodies, because what their brain thinks "should" be there isn't. It's like when you have an allergy, YOU know the food won't kill you, but your body sure thinks so. You can't control it.

>>9742945
It might be interesting to see if one could get a large enough group of people to make a small community according to these principles. It would probably keep anyone in the group from holding a privileged position within modern society, but if living according to one's principles were easy everyone would do it.

>>9743187
If your brain is telling you that cancerous lumps on your body shouldn't be there and that you should probably consult a doctor, that's one thing. If your brain is telling you that a part of your body that is healthy and functional is actually alien and must be removed, that's a problem with your brain. Many people with mental illnesses suffer because of their condition. That doesn't mean they should be given things that anyone but the victim can see are not good for them. Treatment of mental illnesses should be about bringing the patient back into reality rather than allowing their delusions to become more severe.

Not to add to the drama, but I'd like to point out that many MtF transgender people and gay men actually have brains structured like that of a woman. In other words, using a brain scan and identifying gender by the differences in structure, they would be identified as female.
And since it's much harder to make major changes to the brain, it's much easier and more effective to change the body to match instead of vice versa.

>> No.9746272

If there are two brain types, let's call them brain A and brain B, and most women have brain A but a minority have brain B and most men have brain B but a minority have brain A does it make sense to say that anyone whose brain type is the minority for their biological sex should have their bodies physically altered to resemble the sex in which their brain type is the majority?
I'm not questioning the facts you mentioned, I just wanted to point out that your interpretation of the facts relies on some unstated assumptions.
I'd also like to say that there are an infinite number of ways to change your brain. Some would have you believe that you are an extremely complicated pre-determined robot or a random bag of desires and aversions, but every time you think, you prove them wrong.

The reason that I love Precure kigurumi is because a character can be played by a different person each time, a person who gives you the standard interpretation but also with their own twist.
