Alright, hear me out /jp/

I'm planning on buying something from this site (specifically, a doujin). I'm not a japanese native but I know a bit of the language, so I thought I could do it. I also know that as a foreigner there are some problems and restrictions when buying there, but I think I can work this out.
That's not the issue. Real problem is another.

I'm not 100% certain about this, but I heard that this site employs some strange sort of DRM for reading their products.
That when you buy a doujin/artwork there it's not just an archive with a bunch of jpegs or a pdf or whatever that you download, but some strange encrypted thing that you can read "only via their own software" or something.

Is that true?
And if it is, is there any way to circumvent this?

I don't know, but I hope someone else can help me.
I wouldn't mind paying for it, but I don't want to be burdened with some obscure software.

Thanks.

I love my DS Lite but I don't think it can buy doujins.

Mostly sad. Waiting for someone of kind heart to help an anon make his steps into a bigger world.

only certain products have drm

>> No.9720275

It says on the specific product page whether or not it's protected, and what it's protected by. I usually buy CG collections from my favorite artists, and I've only had two protected purchases, both which were protected by Pirates Buster or something.

I don't know a way to circumvent it, since the files were unviewable without the program. So I ended up just taking and cropping screenshots, after freezing the process that prevented me from taking and cropping screenshots.

I don't know if this is how they're doing it now. It's rarely a problem for me.

Looks tediously draconian to me.

you could probably use a screencapturing program like puush too instead of freezing the program.
