Am I the only one that lines my bed up with my chair so I lie down while sitting?

Sitting crouched over for hours on end everyday would wreck my back and probably cause circulatory issues in my lower legs. I find it extremely uncomfortable and could never go back to sitting normally. The only problem is my new 27" IPS monitor extends pretty far off my desk since it's angled on the corner of my desk so I tend to bump into it every time I get up.

The chair runs parallel to the desk and the bed lies perpendicular to the chair, that way it acts as an extension to the chair and I can lie my legs on it.

The tricky part is the the monitor has to sit on the corner of the desk in front of the chair so I don't have to strain my neck by turning it to look. The keyboard and mouse are by my shoulder so I have to twist my body to type, but when I'm particularly lazy I just use the on-screen keyboard and type with my mouse.

It's more for comfort than anything else since I tend to spend more time reading and watching than typing.

Yes, most definitely. I sit and sleep on the floor, so all I need is enough floorspace to place my stuff and maybe a table so I can do stuff while sitting upright comfortably.

When I was a child living in poverty with my mother, I lived in a tiny attic for a few years. It was "a little longer than my height"x"a little shorter than my height". The roof was too low to stand up or have any furniture. That was pretty awesome.

Yes, it's called practice. I'm guessing you're talking about Seiza. In that position you just have to continue sitting like that as much as you can and eventually you'll soften up and get used to it.

There are some special sitting techniques, but the main differences are in comfort and difficulty. I mostly like to sit in the lotus position. Once you get used to it, it can be extremely comfortable, especially for the back.

If you wanna try out the lotus position you need to soften up. Just get used to half-lotus (remember to alternate between left and right leg on top), progressively positioning your top legs heel closer to your abdomen above your left hip. Once you're confident, you can stretch further by moving your bottom leg forward away from you so it doesn't support your top leg, and pushing your top legs knee as close to the floor as you can. Try not to hurt yourself! You can try the lotus position anytime you feel ready. If you manage to get into it, you will probably experience extreme strain in your legs, this will gradually disappear as you get used to the position.

In the beginning when you're not as flexible, placing the edge of a hard pillow under your buttocks, raising your back a little should make your back much more comfortable. I've read that this is especially important when you're in the lotus position but not flexible enough to have both knees touch the ground, as the pillow should also move your knees closer to the ground.

Try not to push yourself too far! It took me a little over 6 months to gradually loosen up and reach the lotus position. I was a really lazy computer chair peasant in my teenage years. And it's never too late as even old Apprentice Sysadmin of Gensokyo did it.

PS: In the beginning the biggest challenge would be strengthening your back so you can survive without back support. This is as simple as sitting on the floor without back support as much as you can. Although simple, it might be pure torture (at least it was for me).

I think I like yours is because you have so much awesome things in one place. hard to imagine you fit it all in there. Looks like your parents put you in a closet though.
I would want to clean your room a little though too, but not much. You're pretty clean.

It is by far the most "otaku" room I've seen here. I'd imagine it would be an amazing experience for me to live in such a room.
