You now realize that /jp/ is made up of a combination of /a/ users and /v/ users.

There is no true /jp/ ;_;

>> No.9710000

wtf o.O

>> No.9709997

If you went back to /a/ then you'd help improve the situation.

don't project your own browsing habits on people, that's rude

Do you have anything with a higher resolution OP? I've seen that one quite a lot, you could also provide a little bit more depth to your post. Maybe you could give some valid reasons as to why you think this? We have standards you know.

>> No.9710019

When /jp/ was added I stopped browsing /a/. I haven't ever gone back since.

Obvious /v/ posters right there. Infact, anyone who spams "XD" "le" and "reddit" are from /v/.

I stuck around /a/ for a bit after /jp/ was added.
I think the thing that finally pushed me over the edge was a 24-hour period where every thread on the front page was that stupid Code Geass chess screenshot. Haven't been there since.

we are all one in the same. Trying to escape our shitty reality.

People that enjoy obscure Japanese entertainment also enjoy mainstream Japanese entertainment like anime and vidya? Color me shocked.

Don't assume I'm anything like you. I enjoy all aspects of my life and realistically I'm never going to amount to anything that society will see as valuable. I'm fine with that.

I really hate how /a/b/v/ call enjoying video games or anime "escapism". What are you escaping from? No job? No education? Are you people actually sad/angry over having no girlfriend? Please explain yourself.

>> No.9710080

>>9710046
There are a number of threads on /v/ showcasing /jp/ "board culture".
also there was a thread exposing a /v/ user advertising /jp/ for their shitposting outlet.

>> No.9710089

4chan is made up entirely of angry kids who use it as a way to vent from being fucked up the ass at school. It's shit

>escapism
I don't really see it. /a/ has lots of users that lead quite a normal life but are socially awkward and spend more time focusing on their hobby (anime, manga, VN...)

/v/ is far more casual and accessible for everyone since video games are mainstream nowadays. Average age is probably much lower than on /a/ and /jp/. Their main problems would be "no gf" and school, not escaping from reality because "LIFE SUXX".

As for /b/... it's so wild and retarded I'm not even trying to analize it anymore.

>> No.9710113

>>9710101
It's not escapism if it's your life. Why can't they realize this?

>> No.9710120

How would I know? Maybe it's their way of "fitting in"?

>> No.9710122

A person who's life is very dull with nothing to look forwards to may want to escape into a world full of excitement and meaning. Others who haven't yet accepted the fact that they are losers might just want to put off thinking about it.

Funnily enough, a lot of companies which produce anime count on those people for merchandise sales and the like

I've never been to /a/ in my life, and I don't really like anime. I haven't been to /v/ in years because it turned way shitty.

Oh, I'm kind of curious, if you don't play video games or watch anime, what do you do? I would kind of find my life meaningless devoid of those two things.
