I like the combat a lot more than the first, the moves are more fun. The skill tree is a nice addition as well. The Diablo style loot system is pretty neat, they did a good job with the Unique weapon/armor models, and leveling up + customizing the possessed weapons is pretty fun too.

I've only done a few dungeons so far, but they're not bad. Haven't come across any real hard puzzles yet; I've heard they get better later. Boss fights are pretty fun.

Most of all though I really like the characters they've shown off in the game so far. The conversations between Death and the other characters aren't mindblowing, but they can be pretty funny.

I'm playing Dark Souls but I'm too scared to unhollow and have people come after me.

Civilization IV.

Pretty fun, probably played it >100 hours this week alone, though it's been getting tedious lately once you conquer half the game map on Marathon/Huge and micromanaging each city becomes a chore, at which point you've won the game anyways and there's no reason to wait till the end.

Maybe I should play on a higher difficulty.

I'm playing MK5. I've been farming black and silver coins for weeks since I already opened all the other coffins. This is such a pain...

I've finally fell back into PC gaming master race.

Currently trying to grind out achievements in steam games, including Deus Ex Human Rev. and Super Meat Boy.

Dark Souls and THE iDOLM@STER 2, one on PC, the other on PS3.

Almost done with the Artorias of the Abyss content for Dark Souls. It's pretty good, but I don't know if I'd pay $15 just for it on console.

Uhh... I've put about 50 hours into the PC version of Dark Souls, and I have yet to run into anyone hacking. Been invaded about 5 or 6 times, and I've done 20+ Forest Hunter invasions.

Once I did every little thing and could basically just kept speedrunning the game since I was all maxed out I got over it and stopped playing it.

That's crazy...well, there's always other RPGs or fighting games if you like exploring mechanics. I can't really get into many games, though. I usually end up dropping them for something else halfway through. That's why I cherish that feverish urgency to play when I get really "into it".

I was trying to get better at Metal Slug X. I managed to get better at stage three, especially clearing it without dying so now I have to further develop my skill to consistently do this along with preventing myself from doing silly mistakes on stage four.

I eventually want to 1CC it, though this will just take a bit of time. I know it will start to get hectic once I hit the train tunnel on stage five.

I wouldn't recommend it for your first build. Go with the standard sword-and-shield type of soldier for the first run. Warrior if you don't want magic, knight if you want some, pyromancer if you want pyromancy.

Tactics Ogre, LUCT. I got past the third or fourth battle, and virtually by miracle, no one permantently died yet. For some reason, I always end up with one or two characters alive when finishing a mission, and the remaining characters are kissing the floor with one or two turns remaining before dying.

I always thought myself a TRPG expert, having played Fire Emblem and the like a lot, but this game just fucks me up like nothing else.

Pyromancer and Sorcerer are easy modo.

Pyromancer doubly so, because he starts at level 1 and pyromancy doesn't require any skills whatsoever to upgrade your damage (upgrading the flame increases damage, your INT level has nothing to do with it), thus allowing you to make any class you want out of it.

Cleric is fun, and pretty good in late game PvP if you get the right miracles. Also starts with the game's second best unique talisman.

Archery is useless until very high levels and hard to use.

Others are pretty much light and heavy weight melee builds. I enjoyed heavy the most, but you need really good shields to block stuff since you won't be rolling around in that Golem Armor.

started generation 2 not long ago, my son turned out alright.. he's going on about making women his property and how the idea of breaking Eva turns him on. He's fighting with his fists and kinda looks like Jotaro without a hat.

Too much fucking grind and unlocking the naughty scenes were easy to miss and pretty much impossible to get without a walkthrough. Quit halfway through the second generation after discovering that I had actually skipped half the story and ecchi scenes from the first one.

advance wars: days of ruin. i'd sold my copy off a long time ago, but recently had an urge to play it again and managed to find it cheap. i'm gonna see how many trial maps i can s-rank in one go.

i keep looking for updates on when class of heroes 2 is getting released in english since it's a game i've been hoping to see for a while now, but with little success. apparently acquire released a new totomono game a couple months ago, but i'd only recently heard about it; i'll be sure to look forward to never seeing it localized.

Bro-oping Dark Souls with my brother since it came to PC. Hard to connect sometimes since From's netcode is fucked though. Hoping they will fix it like they did for consoles.

I'm a faith Ricard's Rapier +15 user who enchants the sword with Sunlight Blade. Heavy combo does around 1600 dmg, though the buff only lasts for a minute.

He acts as a tank with high VIT/END. Wields Black Knight Sword and Shield.

What is it that you're lacking for the fun factor?

I get bored of single player games unless they're really cute and short (like ノーラと刻の工房霧). I tried to get into Okami again, so I played for about 2.5 hours, but I didn't really feel any urge to continue. Same with Majora's Mask, which I tried to get into after 12+ years of owning it. I just don't feel the urge to progress in it.

I've been 80 for a few days. Played through the story and 100% most of the zones, but most of the time it just felt like work even though I was trying to take it easy.

Played wubwub for countless hours until I realized it's nothing but pointless zerging back and forth. Might be fun if you're playing with a group of friends, which I don't have. sPvP is the same thing. I'd rather be playing TF2 if I wanted to play against other people.

PvE is nothing but boring encounters and Zhaitan was a fucking slap in the face. What a joke.

There's nothing to strive for after I grinded out my exotic armor set. Legendaries definitely aren't worth the hassle. I'm just bored of it, which is what Anet wants since there's no sub fee and I'm just costing them money.

Tales of Graces. Pascal wants me to fix a heat ray so she can fly an airship and Sophie is blind so I have to use Malik or Pascal in my party and I don't like them.

Just bought the devil may cry collection, playing through the first one for the first time.

Game is fun as hell, it flows really nicely. There isn't any place where you can get stuck for too long, there isn't any place where you need a guide, yet the difficulty is just right to keep it fun.

I'm gonna watch the anime after I beat the first one, then go on to the second game.

10/10 bretty good game.

Bethesda's construction set is pretty easy though, as long as you're using premade materials (NPCs, textures, cells), though it's not nearly as flexible as f.ex. Source engine's Hammer.

You can also use it in conjuction with other people's mods. I made my own character into a mod companion in Oblivion.

They were both pretty shitty. Hitting a rock feels same as hitting air, though instead of just *whoosh* you also hear a *clank*. Combat has no weight whatsoever.

I think Skyrim's combat was a tiny bit improvement over Oblivion, but everything that was better was just copy pasted from Oblivion's Deadly Reflex mod. Fuck Todd.

I'm currently playing Fallout: New Vegas and Pokemon Heart Gold.

Fallout: New Vegas is pretty good, the world is definitely bigger than Fallout 3 and there's a lot more quest to do but there's a lot more ground to cover and it keeps roughly the same population rates as Fallout 3 so it feels really barren.

Overall Fallout: NV has more and more interesting stuff to do than Fallout 3 but Fallout 3 makes you wait less time in between doing stuff

Doing a Nuzlocke Run on Pokemon Heart gold and it's kind of weird but I was relieved when my pidgeotto died since it meant I'd no longer get stuck with 2 bird pokemon in my roster. Nothing I could catch were really as good as my Pidgeotto and Fearow so I just kind of stuck with them.

Plus side is I'm now enjoying the joys of a Miltank with high defense, X-accuracy and Rollout. It's kinda awesome, I wished I raised Miltanks before.
