I did this on Steam years ago until I got invited to a Touhou roleplay chat out of the blue. It was the most awkward and uncomfortable shit ever. I changed my name to something mundane and never went back.

I see exactly what you mean. I just name myself as my favourite Touhou because I felt that I needed a name change and I couldn't think of anything.
