I think I've created a new type of day. I just don't feel satisfied with 24 hour days and I prefer 48 hour days. 16 hours is such a short time, going to sleep after that feels so depressing when you can stay awake and keep having fun.

I get like this on stimulants. Everything feels so interesting and I never want to stop.

The longest I've gone is just short of five days. I felt amazing, was dancing and groovin to some music the majority of the time, getting really interested in everything. Things start to take a turn after about midway into the third day though. Your eyes feel weird, you start seeing shit out of the corner of your eye, huge amounts of paranoia, and then you really start seeing things and it gets terrifying.

I don't know what happens after that point since I quickly sedated myself as soon as I started hallucinating. Two days is definitely the magic number, anything past that and it begins to start turning scary.

Under normal circumstances I can't stay up for much longer than a day either. With weaker stimulants like energy drinks or coffee then I can almost pull two days, but even though I'm awake I feel like a twitchy zombie after about 30 hours. With more powerful stimulants then you can keep your brain in that stimulated and energized mode and still feel wide awake and alert for over two days. Three days is the limit though, you can continue to keep yourself stimulated and still never feel tired after that point, but after multiple days then you start to show signs of amphetamine psychosis and it just gets worse from there.

Not really. A few of those times I had coffee, but I drink it so much on a regular basis the caffeine doesn't do much. I can drink coffee and fall asleep an hour later. I don't have access to anything more powerful than coffee. But really, I'd rather sleep anyway. The times I try to stay up, I never really enjoy it. I don't really get anything done in that time and just regret it afterwards.

I've started getting fit as of a month ago, and I've made a lot of progress so far (going from no exercise to cycling and lifting three times a week each as of last week). My goal currently is to get to cycle six times (45 minutes each) a week and lift three times a week (with one day off), which I'll hopefully be attempting next week. I'd recommend all NEETs try to do a bit of exercise, it does wonders for your mood and makes it so much easier to take it easy (and also maintain a sleeping schedule that isn't completely fucked). My NEET lifestyle has ended. I now have a 9-5 job which I was forced to take because my savings were almost finished.

That's pure bullshit. I used to volunteer working the front desk at a homeless shelter and there were about 70 people there a day. Granted, most of them were 40+, drug users, and didn't even so much as have a valid driver's license. But there were a few younger people who were genuinely sleeping out in the streets homeless.

The reason why I ask (and doubt) if anyone had any experience being homeless is to combat the idea that people think they can be NEET for their entire lives. It doesn't work like that. When the bux stop coming or the savings run dry, people are faced with the reality that they have to move out of their comfortable rooms away from their computers onto the streets or their cars. I was homeless twice. Once for a month and once for two weeks. It's that fear of being homeless again that drives me to enroll back into university to get my degree so I can get a job. Granted, I'm on the bux right now, but it is a very real problem that the bux will stop. I won't be able to get a job because I have no work experience and no contacts for using nepotism. That means if the bux stop, I'll be homeless. With a degree, I have a better chance of getting hired somewhere and not being homeless.

I thought that if I'd be homeless I'll just kill myself. Well that didn't work out, and it won't for you either. Being NEET is great, but eventually you'll be forced to make a decision between a job and homelessness. It won't last forever.
