Once a year I grab the electric razor in the bathroom and shave my head. Haircuts are overpriced and pointless when you can just shave your head for free.

I do it myself with the machine for over 5 years now.

Like a month ago. I got the talkative girl, and I couldn't hold a conversation with her, so it was mostly just awkward silence and tit-bumps.

Two months ago, I'm going again next week.

I don't know how people can stand to have hair. I hate when my hair grows out and rubs against my pill when I'm trying to sleep. It makes my head feel so hot and uncomfortable.

I cut my own hair. I learned a thing or two about how to do nice haircuts from observing a friend at a salon.

I got to this Vietnamese part of town and get my hair cut by this particularly talented guy about once a month.

I've been going for about 10 years now. The weirdest part is that his massaging my head when he washes my hair makes me realize it's the only physical contact I have with other humans. So I always close my eyes and try not to blush because it feels really really good. There's something ecstatic and wonderful when another human's skin touches your own.

I go to an old jewish barber. He must think I'm a jew as well because it costs me $7 for a cut. I've been doing it for years so it really adds up.

Must be great for them though. That's upwards of, what, $45 an hour? Most barbershops I know are in a busy area and have a constant stream of customers.

If I'm ever forced to find work, I'm going to just take a hairdressing course and buy a razor. Maybe there's a market for barbers who don't small talk at you.

Have any of you ever been somewhere fancy?

I once went to some trendy salon for men and I had to book in advance and pay a lot of money. Then they insisted on making me "feel at home", so I had to sit on the sofa and watch TV with one of the employees while the other was finishing off a previous customer. Then they kept offering me tea and biscuits and it was super uncomfortable. They kept acting like my best friends and giving me things.
By the time I got to the haircut, I was at my limit. I asked for just a trim and the guy was like, "You sure?" and I nodded. Took about five minutes. Then I just left without saying a word.
