basically, get a goal. to give your life some meaning.
even pursuit of happiness is a goal, although a lame one. the important thing is that you realize that you have a goal. a direction you're heading to.

otherwise it truly is meaningless (pun intended). you are only waiting for something interesting to happen. waiting every day for shit to happen here and there.. these days mainly on the internet.

some people are content in being a neet because they found meaning in being a neet. their goal may be something as simple as upholding their neet ways. everybody makes different choices though. just do something.
once you know what you want, find more information. read books. just fucking do something.

I think that's a great summary of existentialism. You really hit the nail on the head. I approach the solution to it a bit differently, though -- you aren't saved from existential despair from finding a solution, you're saved through having faith. If you're not sure of yourself, or your world, or anything, your meaning will carry no weight. And with faith, you don't really need a meaning... or, well, the meaning will ease its way into your life. Have complete faith in something, anything, and your scars on your soul will heal! Learn to love!
