Seems like I got worked up for nothing because the package didn't arrive, even though the status changed to "Final delivery" this morning. I just hope no one else is touching my precious DVDs inappropriately right now.
On the bright side, due to the heat making me procrastinate even more than usual, I spent two hours today rearranging and resorting my idol video folder (see picture). I used to have all my ISOs and encodes in one and the same folder. Now I store them separately and have added covers and thumbnails, so it's much nicer to look at.

Personally, I couldn't care less about her personal life.

Whenever I buy new DVDs, I usually convert them to ISOs first for backup purposes and then encode the video to watch. If I'd watch the video straight from the ISO (or the DVD) itself, it will actually end up looking worse since my computer isn't powerful enough to render it in real-time while using a high-quality deinterlacing script like QTGMC.

I didn't. There are a lot of ISOs and encodes in there that I have downloaded years ago. They have probably vanished from the net by now, so keeping backups of them is even more important.

If you're looking to buy multiple DVDs, it's usually cheaper to order them from Amazon.co.jp and use a proxy shipping service. Let me tell you all about the 24th of August, or the day I almost went to jail for importing what some girl thought might be CP. Like I said yesterday, I went to customs office today to pick up my DVDs and pay the customs tax because the proxy shipping service (they ordered my stuff from Amazon.co.jp by the way, obviously Amazon is not going to sell illegal stuff) forgot to attach an invoice to the package, so they didn't know how much customs tax to charge me for it.

Well, I went in there and there was just this girl, relatively young, most likely an internee so you know she is gonna take everything super seriously. The time came where I had to unwrap the package. She went through the DVDs and one of them caught her attention. Then she called some dude who looks like Biff the Bouncer (original character) and both of them went into the room in the back. I already knew what was going on at that point, but all I could do is stand there and wait. A few minutes later, they called me over and closed the door behind me.

"We were not able to verify the age of the actresses in these movies, so you need to *proof* to us that they are over 18 or we will have to confiscate your items and there will most likely be legal consequences for you", they said. As you can imagine, I was fucking shocked. My first response was "How am I supposed to *proof* that?" Well it's actually quite easy, but since I was scared shitless I couldn't even come up with the most simple way, which would be checking the back of the box and see what age is written there (though honestly, they could have figured that out themselves). 4 of the DVDs I bought are from the same idol, the birth date (1990 btw, the DVDs were released in 2011) is explicitly written on only one of them, but I'm sure that would have been enough. The fifth DVD apparently wasn't a problem since the girl looked old enough to them.

So yeah, I tried to explain to them that it was bought from Amazon (Biff said it's like eBay...). Then they said I could try turning to Amazon and ask them to verify the age of the actress. I couldn't even take them seriously at this point anymore, but I was still scared nonetheless. So I went for the comical approach and said "Can't you just believe me if I tell you they are over 18?". Lo and behold, almost in unison they said "Yes, if you assure us they are 18, we will believe you." Are you fucking kidding me? I couldn't say anything anymore because I was blown away by the irrational behavior of these people. Didn't they just fucking ask for *proof* a minute ago? Do they not know what that word means? Anyway, I was allowed to put the DVDs in my backpack, went back into the main room and waited for them to finish the paperwork (took about 20 minutes). Then I was free to go. To be honest, I expected to find police officers waiting for me outside with their weapons pointed at the door, a scene you might find in "To Catch A Predator". Considering the police headquarter is right next door, it would have been easy to pull off. But nothing happened and I got home safely.

Actually I just took a look at the invoice for the customs tax they have given me. In the item description for the DVDs, it says the following: "5 DVDs with Japanese symbols and pictures of Asian-looking women in pornographic poses. The declarant stated that the women are over the age of 18."

Seriously, I still don't know what fucking happened. Lord knows, my name might be on some blacklist now and they are watching my every step.

OK, I think I have recovered. Time to report on that DVD I watched yesterday. Yes, this is the girl whose DVDs almost got me in trouble (if you search for her name on Amazon.co.jp or any other site that sells IVs, you will probably find the cover that the customs guys got hung up on). This particular DVD is from Turntable's "pg" label under which 60+ 着エロ DVDs have been released so far. (It's worthy to point out that they have also released a 着エロ movie of Tsubomi which I kinda want to watch. I think she is cute, but porn just bores me to death). The image attached to this post contains carefully hand-picked screencaps (can you tell that I'm in love with her face?) of the 100+ minutes of video on the DVD. I had to censor some stuff due to /jp/'s new rules (no NSFW ever, not even spoiler'd). I also noticed that it's difficult to take screencaps of fellatio scenes that don't look ridiculous.

Overall, it was enjoyable even though my mindset at the time greatly limited my enthusiasm. The last scene was kinda pointless and too drawn out (that's why there are only 4 screencaps of it) but otherwise, it was great.

I plan to post about Shinato Ruri's Cinnamon tomorrow, aka. the 5th DVD of the batch.

So, today I watched Shinato Ruri's first DVD, Cinnamon. After watching the sample (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs2jyl)) a few weeks ago, I just had to buy it. The DVD was released by Takeshobo, which made me skeptical at first since their movies tend to be extremely boring. They have also started to use two different cameras for filming, which is why some parts of their videos look crystal clear whereas others are blurred and lack color. This is also the case here, but the image quality is good for the most part.

As for the video itself: It was probably the best Takeshobo DVD that I have watched so far, which is all thanks to Ruri's efforts. She even managed to keep my attention during the massage scene. I usually skip those since they tend to be boring and most of the girls I have watched so far barely show any reaction, but Ruri's moaning (which there is a lot of in almost all scenes) is a feast for the ears. I'm really glad that she made it to the top of the DVD charts on Amazon.co.jp when Cinnamon was released, which means that the next DVD probably isn't too far off. I'm certainly looking forward to it (as long as it's not a Takeshobo again). It also makes me happy to see how often she asks for fan input on her blog, hopefully she'll make it big one day. I'd also like to point out that she is a big fan of Yoshiki Risa. And she studied German at university.
