I like Marisa because I picture her as a confident character that I like to think of as an "Honest Id". She's impulsive but she has loyalty to her close friends. She is also blunt with her words and just has this confidence that I wish to, and sort of am, emulating.

I was thinking about the "plot" of Touhou earlier today. Sure EoSD was just world building and giving us a taste of what Gensokyo as ZUN wants us to think of it now exists. But after that all the games have been creating some very intriguing story lines that seem to be leading to some big upcoming convergences. The lunar stuff, Yukari shenanigans, the shinigami and hermits, religious tensions, etc. Of course those may very well all lead to nothing but the possibilities are very fun.

Everything really started getting thick when Kanako came. First she tries to usurp Reimu, then helps get Utsuho her powers. The geysers erupt and the UFO cast is unleashed, along with their boat temple thing, which in turn causes the TD cast to wake up. It could be just a coincidence, or maybe Kanako is the biggest mastermind to enter Gensokyo, or at least a pretty big one at that.
