The artist I've been using the past couple of years has simply disappeared from the face of the earth. I think he might have died, since in one of his submissions he had made a comment about a health problem.

I really don't know what I'm going to do now. A life without new dakis, is just not worth living, but getting to know a new artist, and adapting to a new style seems like an almost impassible obstacle.

I would give a tentative "yes", but only from a trusted seller. Before you commit, take the time to get to know the seller and ask to see the ownership diary. You are looking for a complete, concise account of the owner's experiences with the dakimakura.

Look for a detailed, regularly scheduled laundry service and the owner should disclose whether or not they have pets. You should not see a lot of gaps between daily entries, and "dates" or erotic rendezvouses should be clinical and precise. If the ownership diary is sloppy or sounds like some creepy fanfic, think twice about making the commitment.

It may seem rude to ask why the owner is giving up the dakimakura, but keep in mind that a well-made dakimakura can last for a decade or more. With such a considerable time investment, it pays to know what you are getting into.

Is it possible to just get a nude print and slip on clear plastic covers with printed images of different outfits? You could do one layer for the underwear, another for the outwear, another for winter coats / rainjackets.

That way you don't have to worry about outfits getting dirty or boring, and you can have your imouto change the dakimakura's underwear until you feel more comfortable.

Custom mouse pad designers have been going around for a long long time. However they only ever seem to do the flat type.

If in the metric using part of the world, just look up local bed and bath stores, or order one online by using a tool called google.

If in america, either make your own, import one, or have one custom made by one of those companys that build to whatever dimensions you want. That last option is also the only way to get one filled with something other than cotton fluff, outside of Japan.
Buckwheat husks or down are much nicer to bury your face into, and will keep their shape for longer.

The reasoning there, is that the closest pillow size measured in inches is significantly smaller than the daki size.
