So I made the mistake of adding an Oni character to a story I'm writing. The reason for my mistake? I know next to nothing about traditional Japanese decorating, rituals, charms, superstitions, or anything. At the moment, I'm most in need of advice on what sort of things would grace the average Japanese household in the late Edo period/Meiji restoration.
