I can't recommend VNs anymore. I learned Japanese exclusively to play VNs and now I'm able to do it I just realize what a waste of time it was. Some of the PC98 ones are good, but the majority of Win 2000 onwards games are shit

A lot of people seem to dislike them here in /jp/, but I don't. Everyone has to be a beginner one day, and it gives us an occasion to discuss old VNs.

- Umineko : BEATRICE = SHANNON = KANON = YASU = KINZO'S CHILD
- Fate Stay Night : Archer is SHIROU IN THE FUTURE
- G-Senjou no Maou : Maou is KYOUSUKE'S BROTHER
- Sharin no Kuni : Houzuki is FAKING his leg injury, Kenichi is FAKING his drug addiction, and Ririko is BEHIND YOU the whole time
- Kara no Shoujo : KUSAKA TATSUHIKO and KATSURAGI SHIN (also known as Mamiya Shinji) are the CULPRITS. Also, Orihime, Tsuzuriko and Toko 2 DIE and you can't do anything about it.

I got a bad ending and couldn't be assed to try to read again since I didn't feel any connection with any of the characters to do another "play" through. But that endings just made me interested in it, though I doubt I'll ever go back to it. Maybe I just lack the attention span and should stick to video games.
